COMMENT: Series ends at the climax with many events lingering unexplained and becoming even irrelevant events in the plot. What use did the protracted canon training ultimately achieve except for Nagakado's brief, brash attack for instance, or Buntaro's perceived sacrifice and his miraculous escape from near certain death, to name a few among multitudes of such. Pretty mediocre direction to a mega budgeted show, Id imagine.

The head, was disappointing. Once the head is severed, it loses control of its voluntary facial muscles rendering it limp and gravity working itself on it. The eyelids droop, the eyeballs are not fixatedly looking on, but often wander around inside the orbit.
Depending on the angle the head is held aloft, the tongue may be seen sticking out and invariably, the lips are not shut but partly open. This Head, does not look dead by any stretch of imagination. It looks alive. I know, there exists evidence to suggest the brain is still alive post the deed, but its wholly unlikely That Head is capable of any form of cognitive function."
