Star Wars spans of thousands of years in a galaxy of hundreds (or more) of star systems. I'm sure there was bound to be a black or a gay being in there somewhere. *gasp* Maybe even a trans being. Not everyone is straight and white. Saying that people are wrong for the color of their skin, their sexual preference or their gender identity is small minded. Saying they shouldn't exist is evil. Shame on you if you believe that. Disappointed in you, Yoda would be. |
I can't wait until all the conservatives (who share a single brain cell) learn a new catchphrase and stop calling everything "woke". On a related note, I'm hearing much less of everything being incorrectly labeled "communism", so at least there's that. So yeah the show is ok. I'm interested to know where it goes, but so far I'd say it's a notch or two below the other SW tv shows, not including the masterpiece that is Andor. This is more like the WB version of SW. Not bad, but let's hope the story is interesting. |
There is a little girl, two black woman, one asian dude in the cover... You know the most crystal generation person you will ever see in the comments is gonna be offended. They might even be offended with Carrie-Anne Moss being there. |
Can't say I didn't predict people like you in the first comment. I will never understand how people can be Rword about a show where the good guys are hairy aliens, telekinesis, little green dudes, all kind of different life forms... It's almost sad you being normal, lol, don't realize that yet. |
Can someone please tell me why people are so angry and hostile against this new Star Wars series. I have watched the trailer and it looks like a girl is the lead actor. But so was the case in Ahsoka series. And as far as I know Ahsoka was well liked. So what am I missing here?? |
ahsoka had some of the worste ratings of any star wars show currently are you just making things up or actually delusional? or just trying to gaslight and pretend people dont like it because they are some kind of "ist" a typical leftist defense mechanism that has become meaningless due to them calling wolf on everyone. |
Well, for starters, Princess Leia is not black, wookies are not gay, normal, people as good a fighter as their are cannot defeat a Jedi in combat, what else ? just about everything… |
This may come as a bit of a shock matugenos, but Princess Leia is fictional, nobody has ever seen a Wookie's genitals (not even another Wookie), and no human has thus far survived asking one about their sexuality. As for beating up a Jedi? Bring it on babes |
@LiberalLesbo Santa is also fictional, but he's both white and male. Just as Sarah Conner is white and female and Black panther is black and male. You delusional weirdos ALWAYS use the "but they're fictional characters" excuse when being called out. Fictional yes, but established as well |
Y'know, re-imagining established characters and classic stories is not new Pixysnot... There's a black Superman (1999) too you know... And they just add to the richness of the stories told. |
Reimagining established characters isnt new(tags movie from 2021). Ever heard of experimenting with outliers? Those are exceptions not the norm. But we would expect far-left to gather that. |
so the force has a gender it is female. a lesbian couple force birth a baby. white or white passing men largely do not exist. there is a less realistic campfire in space at some point. also the main actperson has the same expression for most scenarios. |
Thank you TGxTV A/V was fine Keep Up All The Good Upload You Do Sir |
Yes sir, I have agree on the good work they do in providing content on a regular basis, but not on the content itself :-) |
I'm so starved for new Sci Fi movies/series that I liked it Thanks for the upload |
This must be my age, but I've watched the first 2 episodes, and apart from main character used to having two moms, I did not see anything woke. Is everyone having problems with what Leslye Headland said, and not actual content of the show?? |
Wow, thank you for all the downvotes ;) So you just hate on anything, especially someone genuinely interested in "why you hate?". |
It's genuinely entertaining how predictable the outrage is with some of you. |
When people tell you "thats all you need to know" run away how fast do you can! |
Can't we just all get along & watch Star Wars Shows without Complaining 'bout them. What is the World coming to.😂 |
So when people say something is 'woke', does that mean they prefer things that are 'asleep'? |
Woke comes from western white adoption of a black US term, changed in meaning from it's original, to now mean something along the lines of - eschewing societal norms and scientifically established or consensus based facts, to whatever gets me attention because I'm outraged for some other apparently mistreated group. Or |
Woke, not woke.. it's Star Wars - going to watch it anyway with a popcorn bucket and sound system cranked up. It can't be as bad as Star Trek Disco was (right ) |
Watched it and the episode wasn't bad at all; actually enjoyed it with my heaping bucket of popcorn and sound system booming. Only item that got was when they said "an Acolyte doesn't use weapons", yet she clearly used knives, slashing and throwing them... that was a "duh!?" moment. |
