 | Watched it. The Healed is one long continuous train wreck. It's the kind of wreck that makes you regret ever looking back. It is not the content, it's the subpar execution, direction, editing, and overuse of synth music. Adding insult to injury, Turner is cast as a “dressed up” version of Mary McDonnell (mop wig included) who is determined to "dehomosexualize" her new experimental subjects. . While the plot introduces a fresh element to conversion therapy, the story meanders - tediously - the narrative is lazy to the point of ALMOST crossing into camp. The actors deserve better, the queer fan base deserves better, even Mary McDonnell deserves better. |
