This is the reason torrents were invented. So we can watched overhyped shit w/o having to pay for the disappointment. |
Which is also why movie studios want this shit shut down. Can't have people telling others it's crap before they see it. |
I don't think it can compare with the first or the second classics... However, I am really looking forward to watching this:..! Thanks for the upload! |
There’s nothing to compare with the first one, the memories, and the times. |
For me, only the first was truly enjoyable & it is a classic. The second, which still came out when I was a kid, I could never get into & didn't know anyone else who liked it much either. And while I'm glad they have made others lately for younger generations, I can't get into them either. But that's just me. |
So I watched this & it's a big "meh" from me, just like GB "Afterlife". It has its moments, but something is wrong with the pacing/editing/direction...it's just...sluggish. Low energy. Like the whole cast is bored & give flat performances. Still, glad it's around for younger generations & maybe they'll like it more. |
Better than I thought. Nice small up and good movie than entertains. 7/10 movie score. |
The first movie was quite good. The little girl was a really good actress, and the dude from stranger things was not as annoying as in anything else he was in. Rudd and Coon seemed to have a good time and leaving the screen to the small trio, and it had the spirit of the older ones. The scene where the old guard appear together was great. Tomorrow I'm going to see this one and hope to have a good time like as in the last one. |
That was not the first movie, that was the 3rd movie and even 4th movie if you count that feminist version of Ghostbusters. |
This second movie (of the new spinoff if you need me to hold your hand to understand) it's still a fun movie. It was more like the second original film, more for grownups in parts of the story that will, perhaps, make it a bit harder for children to really enjoy, but still enjoyable as a whole. |
The little girl keeps being the one who moves the story forward, so some people, we all know who, will be completely offended by the movie. Plus, they dared to include a character from another continent and give him powers, and we all know that will ignite some people, even in a movie about people busting ghosts. |
Slimer made his apparition in a scene with the kid from Stranger things and maybe made him less annoying, I don't know, to be fair I really dislike this kid. The rest of the movie he was not the focus, thank you, God, I owe you one. Rudd and Coon have more presence in this movie, and they had good chemistry between them |
Dan Aykroyd was the character with the most time in screen of the old guard, and he is still really enjoyable to me, but my son keeps thinking he is slow to the punch, a different generation may be at play here, or maybe he fell too many times from my arms as a baby. Hudson and Murray were ok, but with little time. |
To round up, it was very in the spirit of the second original movie main story. Some teen drama, and we all knew that what was coming in the street scene before they filmed the street scene. I enjoyed the first one more, but this is still a worthy addition to the series, not like the third one. That was an embarrassment |
If I had to rank from best to worse it would be: The first original, Afterlife (the one previous to this one), the second original (it had a more heavy story to follow if you are as a kid if you will), Frozen Empire (this one), and last the reboot (because that was a bad movie, good intentions but bad movie altogether) |
by CowGirl Actually this is the fifth movie -- 1984, 1989, 2016, 2021, 2024. |
4th... The 2016 movie was a failed attempt to reboot the franchise. You can't reboot a classic using actors that over-act and the expect people who loved the classic ones to love that, so they scrapped every plan to make sequels to that flop |
@4c3T: WRONG! It is still part of the franchise even though is stunk to high heaven! This is the 5th movie in the franchise ... PERIOD. |
@GuitarTroy Ghostbusters 2016 isn't part of the cannon so it's not Ghostbusters 3, so this isn't Ghostbusters 5 it's Ghostbusters 4. (Unless you count Ghostbusters: The Videogame as Ghostbusters 3, which it's possible OP did.) Like Child's Play 2019 isn't Child's Play 8. |
Feelings do not count over facts, GuitarTroy is right, this is the 5th. |
Thank you, heard lots of negative comments and comparisons, but I'll watch for the entertainment value and watch it for what it is,turn your brain off and be entertained. |
Sadly this film was a real miss. they relied too much on the nostalgia of the OG characters and the plot was uninspired and lazy and not scary at all. They tried to make it family friendly and ended up stuffing it up as it didnt feel like a GB film. Its true what they say, you can never go home again |
Thanks for the upload. Always great to have something to watch after a 20 hour flight with super boring movies. |
Well I said to my wife hey I got new Ghostbusters should we all watch it? She said it sucked we seen it in theater so your on your own.. So I guess I won't be watching any "Oldbusters" after all.. |
Thanks TGx. But according to your figures the video bitrate should be around 316 kb/sec. The reported audio stream is twice the size. Either your headers are wrong again or this is a really poor video rip... or both. |
Actual bitrates... Overall (inc. subs): 956 kb/sec Video (x264): 855 kb/sec Audio (AAC, 2ch): 96 kb/sec |
