All the sex negative prudes complaining about hot woman showing her cleavage are pathetic and shaming woman for sexual expression is pure incel rhetoric and sexist and misogynistic in nature imagine being triggered by hot woman couldn't be me. Also this movie is good and has great storytelling and Sydney Sweeney is not only gorgeous, but great actress her acting was great in both Sharp Objects small role and Euphoria to pretend she can't act is laughable at best by those jealous incels with zero media literacy. |
WOW, so many INCEL's on here. I am sure your Mother's are proud of you. |
I'm looking forward to this film. P.S. If anyone wants to see a fun, low budget Nun horror movie, do a search here for 'The Convent' (2000, directed by Mike Mendez). |
Sydney Sweeney bought this script years ago and held onto it until she had her production company up and running. She was then able to be the Producer and Lead Actress. (She is not "Dumb" as I have seen ppl say) It's not a bad movie at all. Sydney is good in it. 1st and 2nd act pretty good. Builds tension without a lot of cheap jump scares. 3rd act seems rushed. It's the ending that is going to divide people into the Love it or Hate it camps. If you are not of the Catholic faith the use of the convent sets a mood that others will find haunting. Overall better than MOST other "Nun" movies. |
Because having money to buy things (script, producer, & star positions) = cognitive ability. Money she only attained, not because of any earned abilities, but because she constantly flaunts her chest that is simply the result of the luck of the genetic lottery. She's another JLH (Jennifer Love Hewitt). |
@Guest-1959 Another incel on the loose. If she wants to flaunt her chest she has every right too. YOU see it as the only way a woman can get ahead. YOU are a misogynist. |
2515 She has a right to, but as a proud male feminist it pains me as it sets women back & it shouldn't be respected. Women with actual minds get ahead legitimately; the ones I respect intellectually are philosophers, scientists, & historians; many whom are favorite writers/researchers. You're a projecting sexist. /out |
@Qust-2264 your comment is perfect example why I hate modern prude sex negative feminism and am equalitarian instead. Sexual liberation and dressing how she wants doesn't set anything back it's basic freedom of western society. If you shame woman for her sexuality or expression you are sexist and you are misogynist. |
The plot sounds all too familiar nun-theless (geddit? ) we will be watching this |
@ Guest-4033 Who hurt you? Mom? Dad? Sibling? Teacher, Uncle, Teacher.....maybe go get help instead of carrying on your traditions. |
Thanks galaxyguys! The trailer is actually pretty great, horror at its finest. V- 6/10 A-3/10 |
Guest-3018 The movie was good I liked it. Immaculate 7/10 It's very important to take care of nuns and priests mental health, their mental faculties are always broken in the movies, they see and hear a lot of things that aren't there. Thawne |
INCEL.Despite its intersections with misogyny and overwhelmingly male groups, the person credited with coining the term “incel” was actually a woman. Alana, who is known only by her first name, first popularized the term in the 1990s through a personal website called “Alana’s Involuntary Celibacy Project.” The term “incel” became a part of the language she used with her followers as they discussed feelings of shyness and social awkwardness. |
Can anyone here over 40, name a movie made in the last10 yrs that could be put on your GOAT list? If not, I suspected as much. |
Moonlight. Roma. Everything Everywhere All At Once. The Favourite. Portrait of a Lady On Fire. Parasite. Shoplifters. I'm 62, & that's off the top of my head. It's been frankly a banger of a decade for film. Have a good day. |
Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), Boyhood (2014), Get Out (2017), Lady Bird (2017), The Favourite (2018), Roma (2018), Black Panther (2018), Ex Machina (2015), The Master (2012), Moonlight (2016), The Shape of Water (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Birdman (2014), etc - I'm 58 |
Pig - Nic Cage. Of course there are great movies but make a better point that isnt so easily debunked. Its not like we dont get the sentiment of everything being garbage these days. From easy missed layups like Shogun and Halo, to the obvious pandering in all of Leo Decrapios movies, we get it. |
Agree with the person who mentioned Ex Machina and Mad Max; Fury Road. I have noticed that since 2016 agenda appears to be crippling many new releases, and it is often difficult to find agenda-free films and television. There's a definite lack of philosophical diversity. |
At least she is trying to branch out to different roles... |
What do you get when you cross a decapitated chicken with a young woman trapped in a convent? The answer: a tricky nun. Regrettably, the film fails to provide much in terms of enjoyment. It falls into the category of yet another unoriginal and lackluster horror movie, relying on symbolism to convey a message... but what exactly is that message? What is intended to instill fear in us? The shrieks? The unattractive visages of the elderly nuns? The excessive bloodshed from an "innocent" nun, Sydney Sweeney's wide eyes, or her dislodged teeth? The soundtrack becomes grating rather than enhancing, If you were close you eyes during the birthing scene, it sounds freakishly sexual. The film is merely echoing previous iterations of previous "nun flicks" without adding any substantial innovation, except perhaps for a slightly heightened degree of torture. The final nail in the cross for this film is the directors decision to use Ave Maria as the films closing music. |
Sweeny's chest covered up = automatic fail. I kid, I kid, though I have yet to see good acting from her and she does seem obsessed with her own bosom (always showing it off/talking about it) like she sadly thinks its her only redeeming quality--she might be right though: she can't act and seems actually stupid. I hope this will be decent: always love a good horror! |
Yep, should have cast Florence Pugh or Jodie Comer instead, since none of whom have a problem getting their boobies out |
So you "Joke " about her breasts?? but then say she can't act and seems actually stupid. Hmm Passive aggressive much? You are not going to sleep with her anyway so stop thinking like a 12 yr old boy. |
Guest-4178 Beautiful? Eh, she's too short and her fish face is a 6/10 on a good day. Another Emilia Clark. Great rack is all this dumb blonde has. ((Emilia is actually intelligent at least)) |
