Why does no one ever mention the director - it's ALL important, never mind all the rest. Philip Noyce has a great track record and has made some really good movies, so thanks for this - looking forward to seeing his latest effort. |
My favorite Noyce film is 'Dead Calm'. 'Fast Charlie' is a solid film, and good entertainment. Keeping the violence gun based, as opposed to hand-to-hand effectively counters complaints about Brosnan's age. |
A like minded soul Brrzrrkrr, I always check the director first, which can give you good indication of the movie unlike the actors who are the hired help. Doesn't always work but it's a start. Most people rarely look behind any facade now tho as we hit the gen Z era. |
Preview looks OK. Not sure about the accent Pierce is putting on though. Sounds like a mix of Louisiana/Scottish #shrug |
Shounds shike a shribute to shellow James Bond , Sean Connery |
@idigit: Cute? Yes. Hot? No. I had a girlfriend named Mikel (pronounced Michael) in high school. We're not talking about the name, "Michael." We are talking about the name, "James." |
Thank you TG, Watched this last night and enjoyed it, nice gritty hit man movie, Brosnan was very good as the cool hitman trying to prove he killed the righht person and find who was killing off his team. Strange American accent though but he had a good go, RIP to James Caan in his last role. 1.5 hours of good entertainment. Yomanda |
It was a fun movie, with zero Woke agenda. It's great to see a film that focuses on the entertainment. |
Where are the comments talking about how diverse the cast is??? |
Brosnan fought tooth and nails for the James Bond role as early as 1984, getting the role in 1986 and then released from the role a month later (I won't go into all the details, you can find it all on WIKI). When he finally got it in 1994 , he screwed himself out of it by bad mouthing the producers and the films who not only made him an international film star, it also made him very wealthy. Ever since his last Bond film in 2002, he has been making one trash after another, the same movies he was doing before he played James Bond. |
Wouldn't watch this unless I'm payed at least 300-400$. Little gray cells are precious. |
