You watch a movie like this for a script? |
Ben Wheatley movies are all bad. Ill give it a go since Jason Statham is in it. |
Just got around to watching this and what a croc .. and I'm not mis-naming the megalodons. Me and OH both enjoyed the meg, and even cheap version like the deep blue sea set. but this is a pile of poop. Quality of encodes are brill (watched the hdr one) and we did watch it to the end ... hoping for improvement which never came. From the special effects (second rate) to the stupid plot ploys of swimming without gear miles under the ocean - just a mess. |
I watched a bit of it before deleting the file. It is truly awful. |
Then you didn't make it past the first 30 seconds. Glad you enjoyed the production company logo and intro creds! Oh, by the way, after that theres a whole movie about a giant shark. |
Jason is very tough and hard to kill, uncle bully is only in for the money! |
Good to wartch on a lazy sunday afternoon, otherwise movie is terribly flawed on most aspects. The smallest megalodons were measured at roughly 10meters, while the biggest ones at 20m. For creative purposes, the larger megs were selected which technically makes it impossible for them(or even a mega octopus) to swim up to the beach to forage as seen doing repeatedly. Another technical flaw is the human to meg size difference keeps fluctuating in different scenes throughout the movie, and Im unsure if any of those creatures especially the amphibian dino or the Kronosaurus(?) inhabiting the deepest parts of the ocean at 27000feet would survive on the surface for extended periods. |
Good Stathman movie, with a reasonable effects budget. Badie's are white females for a change. Some continuity issues on the jet ski and we are meant to believe a creature that lives in pretty much total darkness 25,000 feet deep can adapt to bright tropical sunlight. |
does Jason Statham have a gratuitous shirtless scene in this like the first one at least? |
You know this movie sucks when it's already on Amazon Prime 3 weeks after its theatrical release in USA and Canada. $129 million production budget (to film the movie and pay the actors and crews and locations) plus domestic and worldwide marketing and production cost which can be as high as another $100 million (print ads, theatrical trailers for 1000 of theaters, TV ads, printing the movie on film and digital, shipping the trailers and the movie to 1000 and 1000 of theaters in USA, Canada and rest of the world) all that costs money) and it only gross $321 millions world wide. That's a box office flop. Didn't even break even. |
