 | You know this movie sucks when it's already on Amazon Prime 3 weeks after its theatrical release in USA and Canada. $129 million production budget (to film the movie and pay the actors and crews and locations) plus domestic and worldwide marketing and production cost which can be as high as another $100 million (print ads, theatrical trailers for 1000 of theaters, TV ads, printing the movie on film and digital, shipping the trailers and the movie to 1000 and 1000 of theaters in USA, Canada and rest of the world) all that costs money) and it only gross $321 millions world wide. That's a box office flop. Didn't even break even!! |

| All the reviews say, for a shark movie there's surprisingly few sharks in this movie! Nothing like the 1st movie. The 1st movie is about a killer shark killing everybody. This movie is about mostly people drama - and random giant sea monsters... and then eventually some sharks make it on screen about half way thru (after the initial opening kill scene). |
