From imdb: A woman masturbates frequently throughout the course of the film, sometimes after watching a couple kiss and sometimes after fantasizing about having sex; on one occasion, she places snow into her skirt in order to do so. The film opens with Eileen watching a couple kissing and masturbating to it. She shoves snow down her pants to calm herself down. Eileen masturbates at work. You see her hand going up and down under her skirt. She sniffs her fingers when she's done. Eileen finds a bar of soap with some of Rebecca's pubic hair on it and inspects the hair. sounds Good to me |
I'm so sorry IMDb mislead you. Hope you liked the movie anyhow, though I doubt it will, with you going in with all the wrong expectations. |
It goes to show, however, how much value "reviews" have. None. You can only tell whether a review has any value AFTER you have seen the movie. The one you're quoting says a lot of rubbish about the movie, a lot untrue even, and fails completely to even touch the point of the movie. |
Wow @Guest-7818 Well who would have quested of this level of perversion. Hard pass. Thawne |
There's more "perversion" in the average detergent commercial, but go ahead, pass "hard" again on a movie because you follow blindly a review by a total stranger, which -turns out- doesn't make any sense and is untrue. Have a nice day. |
God, these comment sections are a trash fire. I watched the movie in theaters and liked it. That's all I'll say... |
Thank you for the download. We watched this last night and enjoyed it. Went in knowing nothing at all about it, other than the cover and was surprised to find a decent, although somewhat of a slow burn, film. Reading some of the comments above, I can say that I don't think most of these commenters have a clue as to what it's about. It's not super sexual. There's no lesbian sex. If there was, I missed it. There's no stalking ex-boyfriend. It's not an example of the current woke culture. What it is, at least to us, was a look at a young teen girl's life, living with her alcoholic father as time passes her by while working a dead end job at a prison. Anne Hathaway shows up as a new manager at said prison and introduces our teen to a glimpse of something different than taking care of her dad while they both slowly die. From there, it takes a wild turn and the pace picks up as does the tension. Unfortunately, this is towards the end of the movie and it flames out fast. We enjoyed it. The acting was top notch. But it is not the pick-me-up-feel-good movie of the year. Just a decent psychological drama with a little wildness to it. |
Thanks TGX for bringing this out for everyone to watch & everyone's effort in doing so! Reviewed already when brought out as a CAM/TS. A/V=10/10...5 stars M=6.5. It's definitely a movie that goes by quickly, so in 90 minutes, it's one of those that doesn't have much 'thrills' to it (one..), but would definitely call it a 'drama'. You have to think deeply(I guess?), I mean "real", or "very", as I believe many will "pull out" to much of some "fantasy" relationship(?), that exists between the two main characters, when that's not what's really going on, there's more, just kidding! I'll let you watch so you can witness the plot & what's going on (no spoilers), but don't think your in for some "mystery"! Just realize, this the movie is set back in the 60's (great acting, costumes, characterization, script for that era), and if you can try and put yourself in a time machine & somehow go back to that era, when watching, it will give you a much better perspective of the movie as a whole, and the very solid acting by the main characters. Not my ideal genre, but the movie was well done, and I must have been missing the "psycho-sexual" part of the movie, that many want to or were able to draw out?? LOL There were no scenes, fantasies, or anything that would lead me to believe that, only that the young gal had "feelings" of "wanting to be like" the "blond", as she had it all, "looks", she had a "solid career" as a "Psychiatrist", etc., so the sense of wanting to be like her, I didn't believe developed into any other feelings, as it wasn't shown or portrayed in the movie, in any other way! They were just friends, and I didn't take anything more than that into it, but heck add 15 minutes and throw in some fantasies by the young gal and I would have! It's a drama, and really bc of the generation it was in, more of a timely slow paced movie, very different than one in "our" generation! For the '60's, definitely an M=6.5 as I had rated on IMDB after watching it and thank you again to TGx as well as the encoder for the excellent CAM/TeleSync(TS). Have a great week everyone! RT!:) |
Proper review......thanks for doing so!!! You're right, movie is not for me but it will be for others! |
"Reviewed already when brought out as a CAM/TS. A/V=10/10...5 stars" You're rating a different rip. Who the heck downloads 720p? If you have a 720p TV, like I do (Philips 32PF5320), you're still better off with the 1080p rip. Starting off your "review" with a lie makes the rest of your spiel lose all credibility. |
People see the words "two women" and off they go. They already have an idea about what kind of movie it's going to be. One half is enthusiastic because they hope to see some physical action with two women. The other half is disgusted because they fear the movie shows some physical action with two women. Boy, are all of them wrong with this movie. One should hope they might learn a lesson about jumping to conclusions on elements that allow no conclusion whatsoever, but I'm not holding my breath. |
Or, you know, it could be the plot description and trailers present it as a psycho-sexual thriller/crime, even action. It's not, it's a drama. And that's fine (I love dramas), but it's hardly an unfounded assumption that this was going to be a different take on the Fatal Attraction/obsessive jilted lover plot. |
Plot and trailer present what they present, nothing else. The assumptions and expectations are all yours. I'll give you though, that the first plot (up on the page) suggests more than the one above the screen shots (which is also the one on IMDb, so probably the one the movie company published). |
Yeah how dare people not wanna watch something because it grosses them out. The nerve! |
I just hope someone says "come on" to Eileen during the movie. That would make my day. |
little known fact, "come on Eileen" is actually about bukkake |
You don't mind it when it's two women, you actually love it, but change the cast with male actors and all hell breaks loose in the comments. |
yes cuz women are attractive and lesbian movies are mostly made for the male gaze. You wont find Women Complaining about a gay movie with men. Same thing applies here |
Agreed! people think it is thrown in their face even though it is just them caring to much. If people didn't actually care, they wouldn't say anything in the first place. |
@Guest-1377 Strangely enough you also won't find women complaining about a "gay movie" with women. It's almost as if men like you are very easily triggered snowflakes, except you refuse to melt away and instead keep lodging your inane complaints. |
No, actually we don't like it if it's anything else than the norm. |
Correction: "your norm". Bad news: no one else has to live by your norm. |
You guys actually believe there is somekind of community that exists that thinks the way you think and you can talk like your some kind of collective, like the borg. Your opinion is your own, you talk as an individual, you are alone. No one cares what your bedroom preferences are, keep them there, stranger. |
1377 -- I tend not to complain much about "gay male" movies, because I tend to watch by genre and -- despite many comments made here -- they are still few and far between. And truly good examples, in the genres that appeal to me, are even less common. Commenting on what you actually watch is even rarer still. |
They all touched wieners with their cousins when they were young and now spend a lifetime trying to deny they liked it, is all. |
Somebody’s letting the under 10s in now I see. Isn’t it after your bedtime Guest-2011? |
Eh I dont watch anything where it is the main focus of the story, but you know consenting adults, in my state someone fucked a fish so ya know where is the line anyway |
If this is what I think it is: a psycho-sexual thriller between two women who are lovers, I'm sold (even though I don't find Hathaway very attractive) and about time! The "female stalked by obsessive male after breakup" trope has been done to death; this should be a nice new twist and all the more titillating! Thanks! |
The "female stalked by obsessive male after breakup" trope has indeed been done to death but it seems like Lifetime still haven't received the memo |
If only the "female stalked by obsessive male after breakup" wasn't so damn prevalent in real life. |
TPN: True. Unfortunately very true. It was not my intent to undermine the real danger & trauma of female victims of domestic abuse, both emotional & physical, irl. I was merely stating that it's nice to see a more inclusive & fresh take on this theme, both for the dramatic impact as well as more base entertainment. |
1943 No, if done well I'd find that to also be an interesting and fresh take, just like a drama about 2 males in a romantic relationship (like "Our Son" which was pretty good). I just wouldn't be titillated lol. |
Ok, so without spoiling it, just watched it and it's not at all what the "thriller" trailer portrays. In fact, I don't know what the point of the movie is and I'm sure no one involved in it does either. It's just a very confused movie that could have been good if it picked a lane and had a budget. 6/10 |
Try watching again, this time without the preconceptions you had the first time. This time the movie will make sense, I promise. |
I mean, I get the overall point of it, but it's just so poorly executed that instead of profound it comes off as shallow & insipid (to me). As always, the book is probably much more nuanced & meaningful. I did like some of what it portrayed, but the events/characters are so unrealistic. A longer length would of helped. |
A typical night out in a small country town, beautifully caught on camera. |
Actually this is quite good, everybody complaining about no new good films. It is not just drama it is more like inner life drama, the kind you sink in. BKWSU |
I'm definitely pro "L" in the whole thing...because two women is always hot. 😍 |
Hilarious, because this movie has nothing to do with "L'. Why do you even think it has? Because there are two women in the cast? |
No, you're not. You're just horny, that's all. You want to see porn with two women, you have no sympathy for the lgbtqia+ at all, not to mention being "pro". First and foremost BECAUSE you want to see porn with two women. |
More woke lgbtxyz bs for the new year. Hard pass but Hollyweird can keep spending that money on movies that appeal to about 3% of the pop if they want to. Why post our too scared to identify himself guest asks... to warn the less discerning that they are about to waste bandwidth on this perverted crap. |
I wish you all would learn the proper meaning of the word woke, “aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)”, instead of using it in derogatory terms. |
@TPN: they will never WANT to learn the proper use of the word, because they're the very problem the word signalises. |
someone has learnt the word of the week the media has forced down their neck. Now if only you could learn the meanings of the words your using. For one woke isn't meant as a negative comment. Hollyweird..What's next lame stream media. Haa!Quit watching anything from there and be happy. Or by a hypocrite it's up to you. |
your not going to fix stupid tpn dont bother trying, there iqs are to low to even comprehend a hint ... being woke is being aware of racists and racists places.... the stupid are to clueless or to racists to understand ... |
