Speaking of posturing, I'm lying in bed at the moment (on summer holiday) with a lit cigarette in one hand and a cup of frozen Tiramisu in the other, trying to decide whether I should put them both down so I can write something useful. :_facepalm Two minutes later ---> Just my opinion, of course, but I think there's room in the comment section for everyone's input. Funny comments. Serious comments. Comments about comments. External reviews. It's all good.

Regarding the movie in question, I just watched it and have a few thoughts to add for anyone who is thinking about downloading it. This is a European production (either Swiss or German) which means it lacks the flashy FX and extreme tempo of a made-in-Hollywood film. But that doesn't mean it's bad. It's just a slow-burner - with a focus on a father-daughter relationship, instead of dramatic explosions every 30 seconds. Some people will find it boring, but if you stick with it for 1 hour and 36 minutes, the ending is both hopeful and touching - and the cinematography, scenery, sets and FX are all quite good. There's even a hint of Mad Max in there somewhere, if you use your imagination. Cut to the chase: Die-hard science-fiction geeks will probably enjoy this, but if you were hoping for a non-stop action flick (similar to The Tomorrow War) you'll wanna pass on this one. A/V is clean and clear. Rating the movie 7/10.

Crusty and Guest-4219 summed it up well. This is pretty much exactly what it looks like. Another Hollywood action series hopping on the woke bandwagon. Having said that, this first episode was about as good as any made-for-TV series these days, similar to Blacklist or Scorpion (from a few years ago) featuring a team of diverse good guys battling evil men who do bad things. Predictable and formulaic, for sure, but the pace is decent, the fight scenes are okay and the FX are about what you'd expect from a Hollywood movie studio. A bit preachy at the very end, but still better than some of the B flicks coming out at the moment. One final thought: If you think you won't like it, you probably won't. On the other hand, if you're stuck at home with nothing to watch, you could do worse. 4 out of 5 stars for entertainment value.
