If you mean I over-do it in brightness, then guilty as charged! I am so sick of official HDR releases that are so dark, the border on un-watchability. The small file size is the result of slow, multipass H265 compression I use.

Multipass, slow encoding is very efficient. Also, even though there is a small amount of intentional grain, but still, the less noise there is, the less data is required to encode.

AV1 is good, but the encoding is time consuming. On the other hand, HEVC is supported by my beefy graphic card, that I already need for the upscaling. It already takes days (sometimes) to do one movie, making it longer is not so appetizing to me.:_:)

I had similar issues as Guest-2729. It did work, but damaged the software. Once you import a video into the timeline, FPS etc. becomes unreadable, and the SW won't work.
