This movie, has actually been released officially in 4K by movie studios, but somehow I didn't like it.
Compared to the 1080p BluRay, it offers no real advantage. The picture has no real resolution increase, it is not any cleaner or sharper (atleast on my 85" Samsung Q95 TV). So I had a go!
Those who are familiar with this film, can tell you, that there is a bit of camera-shake. This is very noticeable during opening credits. The picture moves at random, left to right and sometimes up and down. Once past the opening credits, up to about the first 3 minutes, you can still notice it, as it is during the wide-shots. Once past the 3 minute mark, the camera moves to follow the action, so the effect gets masked.
I corrected this!
I used a steady-cam filter for the first 3:03 , so the picture hardly shakes. The opening credits is steady, and the wide shots also are shake free.
I upscaled and enhanced the video, using Ai, to what you see here.
I prefer it to the official release, and it sure looks very crisp and clean on my TV.
The source was my own standard BluRay.
Enjoy!
