It is 1942 and the German submarine fleet is heavily engaged in the so-called "Battle of the Atlantic" to harass and destroy British shipping. With better escorts of the destroyer class, however, German U-boats have begun to take heavy losses. "Das Boot" is the story of the crew of one such U-Boat, with the film examining how these submariners maintained their professionalism as soldiers and attempted to accomplish impossible missions, all the while attempting to understand and obey the ideology of the government under which they served.

 | You're about the only one of these so called ai-upscalers who knows what to do, but still you could improve the upscales by at least doubling the bitrates, The Ninth Gate was a good example, nice details but lots of blurrying and artefacts due to low bitrate. |

| It is not the bitrates. I use an elaborate multipass encoding at best possible settings. Using my RTX GPU, I get 10 fps, slow but best quality. The problem is that the original Blurays are not that good, and conversion to HDR (when it is beneficial) amplifies compression artefacts of the source. |
