NEVER take lockets from abandoned firetowers! Everyone knows this! |
I am going to grab the 4K version, looks kinda good...I hope its scary. THANKS!! |
I enjoyed it. It's kinda like Friday the 13th if told from the POV of Jason. |
I know this will suck but a guy in a diving helmet with a meathook? I am d/l'ing now. |
"In a Violent Nature," is a film that is lavishly violent, it languishes in violence. Operating on a straightforward premise bereft of any real backstory, we, as viewers, are thrust into the visceral world through the opaque eyes of “Johnny”, who wields a menacing hook. In one particularly brutal scene, Johnny's use of the hook rivals even that of Leatherface. In another scene, it’s not a mere single axe swing; it's an astonishing 84 blows in relentless succession for a single kill - or maybe it’s 85 - I don’t want to spoil this egregious moment for any viewers, but yes, I counted—what else does one do in such moments? The score is basically an amped up microphone - you will be able to hear each footstep and a large variety of birds screeching. There are some great kills as Johnny forges his way through a depopulated verdant stretch of forest but beyond that, there is not much to the film. |
This movie is nothing more than Friday the 13th with a Chase Cam. That's not exactly a bad thing. |
Well this was different. The entire movie has no music in it whatsoever, but it is well shot. The gore score is pretty decent, with one particularly inventive kill when blonde-girl-meets-log-hook-on-chain. As others have mentioned, it is almost like watching a Friday the 13th flick from the perspective of Jason. It isn't shot through the killer's eyes, but mainly from a few feet behind him. There are very long periods of silence and of walking through the trees, but this was purposefully done to give you a sense of what it would be like to truly be in the killer's boots. The antagonist (or protagonist, if you like) really does resemble the half-zombie Jason from Friday the 13th - Part 6. I would never have the patience to sit through more than one movie like this, but as a one-time original, it was great! |
By far the best slasher of the year to date imo. A masterclass of restraint AND excess. |
this is really overrated - its just not very exciting at all to watch , its too laid back and simply doesn't have enought murders - a sequel could be really good though. |
"Nearly every scene involves a rental cabin or Forest Ranger lodge / museum" Cabin in the woods. I`m in! |
I just watched its another shock horror movie no dialogue which was good as sometime too much talking spoils it worth a watchdont expect too much |
Dope! Hasn't been showing anywhere near me. And on my birthday too! Cheers! |
the plot looks like description someone put into image generator to achieve ...well, something like this movie poster! |
Fun slasher from a different perspective. Didn't have any expectations going in but had a good time |
Camera man following a dead guy walking through a Forrest until he finally meats up to kill his next victim.. There was some good parts however it really dragged which made it pretty darn boring... If he walked faster, ran, or if there was far less walking scenes I'd rate this much higher.. 4/10 Thanks for sharing G.. Cheers🍻 D |
