| If you describe an accent as "English/British" then you're probably not qualified to judge (because you're almost certainly not from the UK). To this UK native her accent's fine, it's basically her normal English accent (that she has on UK TV and presumably in her daily life) but poshed up a bit to play Emily Maitlis. |

| No, the Queen also had an _English_ accent (a type of "Received Pronunciation" though tbh, her accent was kind of its own thing - basically no one else still speaks like that, even her own kids). "British accent" is basically meaningless because it encompasses 4 countries and many 10s if not 100s of different accents. |
