The New York B/W scenes are pure art house But the rest of it in Italy is terrible. |
For everyone complaining that this is in b&w should probably just stick to the next fast and furious movie. For everyone else, amazing cinematography (stills from this show are works of art in their own right), compelling story with beautiful acting. Highly recommend for anyone with more than 3 braincells. |
Only a little disappointed this doesn't feature Alien xenomorphs... adaptation of the Patricia Highsmith which previously had Ripley portrayed by Matt Damon, John Malkovich, Dennis Hopper and Alain Delon (Samurai & Red Circle) |
The last good thing to be made in B&W was "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid". |
Ripley, as in The Talented Mr Ripley? I walked out on that movie on an outing in Wichita with the In Laws. Dead of winter and KS is a cold mofo and I stood out there for 30 minutes rather than be subjected to one more minute of that trash. So until told different, this is a very hard pass. |
You walked out on a movie with your in-laws? Jesus. You sound like a pleasant son-in-law. Poor wife. |
Hmm, I'm torn: I hated the movie and I think most stuff filmed in black & white in the era of colour film is pretentious crap but I do love Dakota Fanning... |
The cinematography is absolutely spectacular and so is the production design. |
balck and white film in 2024 is super bad. atleast make those colorfull drainy noisy film instead of the black and white. |
