I'll watch it because .... Why The Fu3k not...? Thanks for the upload |
Mark and Michelle are a great double act in this very enjoyable family action/comedy |
Mark Wahlberg couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. Guy lucks into Boogie Nights and then we're plagued with mediocrity for decades. |
guest-8158. How's your acting career going? |
Difference is, Guest-8158 does not pretend to be an actor, Mark Wahlberg does. |
thank you, 1712. comments like 2779's are shamefully terribly bad |
Is it a remake of The Family by Luc Besson starring Michelle Pfeiffer cause the plot sounds kinda same. |
seems not officially so i guess a rip off; thus this stands as a great factual criticism |
All these people dissing Wahlberg just remember 9/11 wouldn't have happened if he was on the plane!!!! |
Four planes, one Mark Wahlberg. My guess is: it would have happened anyhow. |
Mark Wahlberg is a past-master of trashy action flicks so if that is dang your thing this should be worth checking out |
Mark Walhberg I don't like Hollywood and don't want anything to do with it but I still wanna make movies and earn money. Cucks these days |
The quality of the 720p is excellent. But. But. But. the movie is awfully bad, Mark is his usual self character role, and together wit the rest of the cast, it's a non-memorable movie. Just about the only funny scene is when they have to go to a AAA-like / CAA-like store to get paper maps. Truly not funny, lots of action, but not worth the view. |
Max Payne was a much better family comedy... gotta feeling the comments section is gonna be funnier than the actual movie. |
Max Payne may be a lot, but a comedy or a family movie it was not. |
no, 7026, it (of course) wasn't, but was (yet) a better one than this is, see |
In The Movie Totally Killer Liana Liberato plays a 17 year old but she is really a 28 year old. Crazy Right! Sissy Spacek was 24 & played a 15 year old in The Badlands 1973 & she played Loretta Lynn at age age 14 in Coal Miner's Daughter 1980 when she was 31. That was the Craziest age difference I have seen. |
So fun to actually be right there when someone discovers that actors aren't always the exact same age as their characters. (can't wait for you to find out they sometimes dye their hair too !) |
I think what what nailcutter is saying is that it's not easy to play a teenager when you are clearly much older. Like 30 is old to a teenager. LOL Most of the time people who play teenagers are usually only a few years older than the Character they play. You are the one that don't get it 3458. |
These people should be judged on their acting qualities, not their age, face, body shape or size of "boobies". Sometimes you will have to use your fantasy to *see* a younger or a more attractive (to your taste) person — that's called "imagination". Movies are fantasy, not documentaries, after all. |
Romeo is supposed to be 16, Juliet 13. Ever seen a production (movie or theatre) where they are played by anyone close to that age? If you did, you know why they never are in productions of a somewhat professional standard. |
I liked the plot and it has Mark Wahlberg so not a problem for me, he is a good actor. Genre: Action, Comedy |
He's the most wooden and expressionless actor there is. Infact calling him an actor would make you liable to be charged under the trades description act. His brother Donnie on the other is genuinely superb. |
I hear ya. Guys done a few that were ok. You know what youre going to get. Something you can sit on the couch with the kids and folks, have a takeaway and popcorn and not have to think WTF is going on! |
Tell the truth, you threw up in your mouth a little when you typed that lie. Oh shit, Mark, is that you? Mark Wahlberg is posting as Thawne y'all. So I made it to the supermarket fight scene before I gave in to the urges to bail. I bet Mark spent a good 30 mins rehearsing his fight moves. Trash! |
I GOOGLE for Reviews and the very first 2 on an aggregate Google Search Results List, without even clicking them to open the full webpage articles, but just reading their results headers, first one read: "FORGETTABLE"; the second one read: "SLUGGISH". That's enough for me to say HARD PASS to this Apple TV+ trash. Now if you are still not convinced, the next 2 results headers read: "INSULT TO PREDICTABILITY" and "NOTHING WORKS". Still need more convincing to keep you from wasting your time watching this? How about: "Watching The Family Plan is AS FUN AS A DIVORCE!" |
no need to comment on everything brother! we don't need your constant negative opinion! have a nice life! |
If you ever could be bothered to read more you wouldn't have chosen just one word, the first one being "weirdly forgettable" and the 2nd "strangely sluggish". You've focused on a single word and dismissed it entirely, try the 3rd review "breezy, entertaining" ... CONTEXT ! |
How about the time I wasted reading your post? Was more of a waste of my time then watching the movie. |
Watching The Family Plan is AS FUN AS A DIVORCE! Hahahaha TRUE. Thawne |
Try some sympathy for this Jaxe. Your reaction to his old man sore-ass remarks are probably the only human attention he gets. |
Dont mind the haters, really. The world is full of simple minds that love a simple movie, to them the movie doesnt suck and therefore you are in the "wrong". A critic should be disliked. On a related note: This movie did suck in exactly the way you described it, you are spot on and descriptive enough as usual. |
"AS FUN AS A DIVORCE!" Divorce hurts for a year but the financial fallout lasts forever. This movie is an insult. I feel like it should have a laugh track or maybe a subliminal guy waving a sign that says laugh. The parts of the movie feel randomly stuck together with $ store glue. Die Mark, Die! |
Jaxe did not "describe" anything, Antebellum. As usual he selectively copied and pasted what others described, carefully leaving out anything positive. An actual critic can't afford to plagiarise. And they watch before they write. |
As usual taking so much time to write negative comments about a movie you have not bothered to even try to see again. Maybe the time it took to write could ahve been spent trying to watch it or at least some of it? Another comment to be deleted I guess. Yomanda |
