I just did a 14 hour encode of this on HandBrake to AV1. Got it down to under 6 gigs! |
I'm a noob when it comes to audio codecs. Whats so good about Dolby? Can someone please educate me? |
7.1 vs 5.1 The more the channels the better the sound quality. Most players support Dolby compared to DTS |
Wrong Lenida100 More channels does not equate too better sound. DTS-MA 5.1 has higher bitrates and bit depth than Dolby Atmos 7.1 with can support up to 18 discrete channels but a a much lower bitrate and unless you have a proper 7.1 speaker set up you will not hear the difference. |
Hi guys, I have the same problem as well. My devices dont support DTS (of any form). Do you know if i can download it anyway and re-encode it to something that is just 5.1 ? Thanks! |
1. Download and open MKVToolNix and extract the DTS track from it. The output file should be in .mka format. 2. Use VLC and convert DTS to Dolby Digital AC3. 3. Use MKVToolNix and add the DD AC3 track back in the movie. |
man, its though. my soundbar doesnt supports the DTS-HD MA format. I had to remux and add another audio track and i messed up and added AC3 instead of EAC3 so i had to do it again. now i have a 90 gig file. lol. |
I don't mind the size, AT ALL. Nor do I mind the full 4k resolution (finally someone is not cutting it) But 6 channels only for sound. I'm pretty sure I've hear this in an Atmos cinema room :) I prefer DTS:X when availabl but at least Atmos is available, for sure, on the BD. |
Nolan doesn't do Dolby Atmos or DTS-X on his blu-ray releases. |
Nice and you guys not just sitting on this release for days (release has been circulating around for a while now), just because, shows "it's about the community"! Awesome!!! |
"release has been circulating around for a while now" yes. the 1080p one, not 4K. |
Please upload a version with lesser size and dolby audio 😭😭😭😭 |
I don't believe Christopher Nolan does Dolby. He's strictly DTS. |
