Dunno If the Ukraine border war happened right where I am I would call the cops |
The 5th amendment was written (or at least ratified) in 1791, when the young state did not have a strong regular army yet and was depending on a militia formed by armed civilians. Why is that you so desperately kling to an ancient, nowadays totally redundant text? You even call it a "right that you have to exercise" (which of course is a humongous paradox). The US has its army. Land, air and water are as secure as they can be and none of you have guns to protect the country's borders — be honest. Tens of thousands of years have shown that violence never is an answer, never solves anything. So why hold on to the wrong answer? |
i can take you places they will skin you alive for a quarter, i can take you places they will eat you on both sides of the pond so dont pretend to be holier then thou when you live and preach from a bubble . dont like it dont live here that simple ... if you dont protect your rights you dont deserve them |
The other person has the same rights as you have. Rights GIVEN to you by the government of the country you live in. Their not YOUR rights, they are the rights of EVERY civilian. The government is there to protect those rights. If every civilian takes the law in their own hands, it's anarchy. |
by the way again wrong not the government we the people made up those rights when we took the country from yall ... |
Sounds good, right? "We the people", but it weren't the people who wrote the declaration of independence or the constitution. It were the leaders of those people, the ones who governed the new country. At first by their own decree, later chosen by the people (albeit long time only by a small part of the people) |
The 5th amendment was written in more sensible times and before woke took over our government and institutions |
That phrase: "Tens of thousands of years have shown that violence never is an answer" Is sooo wrong! For tens of thousands of years the world was literally "eat or be eaten" At some point big empires took over and you had some peace within their borders and relatively safe roads to travel on... until they collapsed. |
And did that violence solve anything? No. It just evoked new violence. Initially man against man, eventually empire against empire. Only difference: more violence, more casualties, less solved. It's telling that peace is described as the absence of war. |
""did that violence solve anything"""" Yes Yes it has always... a me quote Thru violence comes change.. got rid of hitler got rid of saddam got the black population the right to a voice and the right to vote so yes on both sides of the coin it can do both good and bad but something always changes ... |
So when you win the war, the losing side always says, "well you won fair and square, here, take my land and rule over me". Funny, that there always were next wars, even when the Great War that would end all wars was over, there were next wars. World wide. All things always change, no need for violence. |
thats all fine and good however the real world does not work that way ... in your bubble sure, reality says different ... |
Even the Great War to end all wars did not end any. Look it up, google "Great War" and you'll instantly know that it was supposed to end all wars, but only started the next one, even bigger. Of course war changes things, but things change without war as well. |
But it makes sense, Mike. Think about it. A solution that both parties satisfies parties has a chance of prolonged peace. A solution (war) where one party dominates the other will only urge the losing party to find ways to regain power and control over themselves. That, my friend, is reality. History shows it. |
So does the other one in front of your gun, SuperbikeMike… Who are you to decide that your life matters more than his? Don't you think mankind should be above jungle law in the 21st century? |
its not, you see it on the news daily and yes you come on my land yes i decide dont like it dont come that simple and seriously go tell putin or xi about how you feel see how far that gets ya thats the reality of the real world no life has very little value to people like them so save yourself and be ready ... |
until your in a war zone and see for your self you have no place to yap about it grow up bubble boy ... new nic .. |
How do you know I live in a bubble or whether I'm a boy? I don't and I'm not, btw, but call me whatever you want. Why do you have a government, police, army, intelligence, judicial system when you solely rely on your own weaponry? |
again by the time you need them your dead, if someone came in your house now what do you do cant call the cops hes got a knife to your neck now what, i know the guy does what ever he wants and kills you, do you understand how little your voice means then it dosent because your viewpoint is from a bubble not that of the |
Do you have your gun, loaded and cocked at your side at all times? That person with the knife at your throat will not give you time to take the gun from wherever you keep it and load it. Please try to see you're in a different bubble, but a bubble nonetheless. |
yes in more then one room and i open carry when im out as does 3/4 of those around here ... |
When everyone carries fire, everyone is at risk to get burned. The US is forerunner in murders, mass shootings, serial killings, you name it. No other country even comes near your statistics. There is a correlation. |
Did you notice that the other quarter around you, those that do not openly carry, also still lives? And that of the three quarter that do carry, most never had any reason to use it? |
Over the pond in the UK if you get caught in possession of a firearm it is a MANDATORY MINIMUM FIVE YEARS in the State Penitentiary Just shows how screwed up their guns laws are And don't even think about any open-carrying for anyone visiting Old Blighty |
Yep, if you open carry in the UK you will be shot dead on the spot by the cops doesn't even have to be a gun, a table-leg will do |
Ooh sniper. Ben Mendelsohn is quite a good actor. Preview looks OK. Thanks |
I just have seen the trailer and I was wondering well usually is the FBI that take care of this matter but she is unstable according to the trailer alto she has some potential, the trailer itself is good of course it's not something like the old, classic and perfect se7en or silence of the lambs but the trailer looks decent enough, altho this police officer looks way too young to get this case but if FBI's chief investigator recruited her is because he saw some talented on her. Thanks galaxyguys, I'll watch this one the plot is interesting and the trailer is well done. |
So it's almost like a half remake of Silence Of The Lamb. In Silence Of The Lamb, Jodi Foster character, an FBI academy trainee still in training for FBI Special Agent, is recruited by the FBI profile division to help track down a serial killer. |
People started telling stories as soon as they had a language and even before that by drawings. So yeah, every story has been told a million times by now. When will you finally understand that? If anything ever. |
The garage in the Silence Of The Lambs was clean though. It's much better than garages that haven't been cleaned in 10 years |
So you haven't watched it, and you are still hurt she is not a minor anymore? |
