Watched the trailer. Seems like a psychological slapstick. Which I kinda like. |
Terrible movie. Does disservice to memory of Bob Ross and to reputation of actors and writers in it. Don't waste your time. |
SO, finally we got a movie to literally WATCH PAINT DRY; Yep! |
They should have made a movie about Thomas Kinkade and his horrendous "Painter of Lights" at least that would be funny...since he is a sell-out. |
Thanks to the uploader for taking the time to post this but I'll honest pass on a movie about a idiot that should of never been famous. |
lol what's the beef with Bob Ross? he was a harmless television painter, never tried to get rich off it, never sold a single piece, regardless of how many fans wanted to buy his work. Seem's he just enjoyed teaching people to paint. did i miss the paedophile scandal or something? you seem to have a serious hatred lol |
Did Bob Ross really paint a painting in 30 minutes though Always felt there was some trickery going on |
Never heard so much hate for someone who's done so much good. You may not like his paintings, but he inspired so many people that didn't think they could do anything artistically.. YellowGrenade did a great job explaining his integrity.. I just want to know what he's done to cause this hatred? It's BOB ROSS!!!!! |
why does everyone think this is about bob ross just because of the afro on the cover? the details of the movie clearly state its about someone else with an afro |
They made a movie based on this real life painter on PBS. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Ross My Mom used to watch his show almost every time it was on. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Joy_of_Painting Not sure how you can make a comedy based on that real life painter. He was a serious painter, nothing comedic about him. |
Because every comedy ever and every joke ever makes fun of something "serious" :D |
The fact that anyone thought any of his work was actually any good is comedic. |
My Dad never missed his show.I agree it's weird they'd make a comedy out of it but i'll grab it for him to watch and find out ltr if it's any good. |
You got to give to the man: he did manage to millions of people to literally watch paint dry. |
My buddy @Jaxe - So they should stop making comedies about a person aka a "biography" or "autobiography", and the horror to EVER have a spoof in the same regards, because none "should be" considered" funny, is that what your alluding too? We should just eliminate those type of movies all together, right? |
"He was a serious painter, nothing comedic about him." Comedies have been made on Hitler, Stalin, Nero, you name them. I'm pretty sure there was even less comedic about those figures. Comedy lies in what you do with the subject, not the subject itself. |
