While this movie copies from the cookie cutter "covert mission," it's an okay film to watch, especially considering the steady stream of crap we've had to endure over the months. |
See? When being fed crap long enough, the slightly less crap automagically becomes viewable. In a not too distant future you'll accept any crap. |
Thought this might be good with the 8.8 rating and Chris Pine in a starring role but it is taking a right panning over on IMBD |
You already know this is about Corona. Big pharma have made billions in profit. Can't complain cause i bought their stocks. |
PLOT SPOILER I watched this overnight half asleep so didn't realise the plot inconsistencies were real as a drifted in and out of sleep like when they jumped into a river and managed to navigate to an underground cave with a shelf The beginning was pretty much movies-by-numbers; this is where I paid most attention for the first ten minutes or so, before it all became too complicated; Chris Pine hurts his knee, takes a banned drug, gets caught, honorable discharge from Army but without a pension etc., debts mount up, asks a buddy for a 'job' then heads of to Germany. And I must have woke up to catch the final twist; it wasn't about finding a cure; it was about releasing a plague to profit from the cure. Might give it another go, but it did seem a LOT longer than the 1 hour 34 minute runtime. |
he looks like Jason Bourne but not as good the story & plot has been done to death nothing new here we haven`t seen before |
The BIG difference though is that the original Jason Bourne had an original plot This movie is kind of 'derivative' to put it mildly but watchable enough just so long as you don't fall into any of the many plot-holes |
