Sonny Crockett [to the untrained eye, his presentation may seem unorthodox, but procedurally, he is sound] is charismatic and flirtatious until - while undercover working with the supplier of the South Florida group - he gets romantically entangled with Isabella, the Chinese-Cuban wife of an arms and drugs trafficker. The best undercover identity is oneself with the volume turned up and restraint unplugged. The intensity of the case pushes Crockett and Tubbs out onto the edge where identity and fabrication become blurred, where cop and player become one - especially for Crockett in his romance with Isabella and for Tubbs in the provocation of an assault on those he loves."
P.S: I believe "4" of the episodes may have "Echo/Reverb" issues and this was a flaw in the original BluRay releases for the TV Series (and NOT issues with MY encoding, LOL)! This is only for a FEW of the episodes though were you may or may not hear various audio issues. If this happens, just switch to the 2nd audio track (the Stereo one), guys. That should alleviate issues for you considering the original series was broadcast and filmed in 2.0 2-Channel STEREO format! I honestly don't know what to say as the problem is most likely from the people who released the actual BluRays ("Mill Creek Entertainment") as I've read before that they themselves didn't do the "best" when it comes to the REMASTERING process of this series onto BluRay (unlike what happened with the DVD releases of this series)... Even if I don't fully agree with your assessment, I appreciate your thoughts nonetheless, mate! |

| I just want to say that Micheal Mann was the heart and soul of this series. My parents met on the set and they tell me that Dick Wolf ("Law and Order") ruined the show after he took over half way through Season 3 ... and it shows. If you're familiar with "Law and Order", you can see how he began to develop the terrible, boring tropes he would recycle for the next 20 years while producing "Miami Vice". Dick Wolf killed"Miami Vice" and it's why Johnson/ Thomas wanted out. "It was great while it lasted!" |
