Thank God comments are back along with TGX. After a long time we can have some additional information in comments about teh movies. I had been refreshing every few hours daily the proxy list LOL. |
as a 70plus person I too found this very boring and did not watch it to the end. I will watch the other movies recommended by other users. |
Stop halfway and have a nap it makes it easier (intermission) |
Did not miss anything, boring all the way thru. didn't at all deliver on it's potentially interesting premise. group of mercs rob drug dealers also grab women and it offends the zealot smuggling clans boogeyman as they "broke the code". bad execution of a bad and often confusing script. 3rd act doesn't make any sense. |
yeah, no real action, which is ok if they had got the premise solid. They didn't. The Stoic lets himself be captured and tortured to death? (only to not actually die as it's vaguely implied lead merc respected him or something? at least I THINK) total mess. failed the committed 'hard man' narrative very badly. Pass. |
I thought Die Alone, while a totally different thing, was really well done all around and surprised me. Brothers was fairly funny.. but for really recent action or tuff guy sorta stuff? The Old Man tv show ramped up a lot this season. Classified, Silent Hour and 7 Cemeteries look maybe ok but haven't seen to say.. |
broadening the scope for anti-hero tough guy movies. You Were Never Really Here, The Passenger, The Killer (2023) or The Outfit for a twist, Mandy, Old Boy (2003), Brawl in Cell Block 99, Drive, Bronson, One Ranger, also Violent Night (tough Santa) and pairs w/Die Hard for xmas. The Art of Self Defense is a good satire |
So happy to see TGX up & running, been checking twice a day. Much appreciated everyone |
How is this movie? Anyone watched it yet and give a summary - is it worth downloading and watching or is it a waste of time? Thanks |
interesting premise, boring and confusing execution. not worth a watch if you're looking for action but it doesn't deliver on the concept at all either. four or five out of 10. a bit of a confused mess and with another director, might of been good. |
Vid and Audio quality is great, Thank you to the uploader. Movie itself is a festering stinker, I give it a 2 out of 10 and 1 point is just because it is in color. |
There was a movie a few months ago with similar plot Abigail https://www.imdb.com/title/tt27489557/ and this one too The Price We Pay 2012 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15441472/ and many others like it, criminals hiding somewhere to avoid arrest by the law and they discover something is haunting them where are they are hiding at No originality |
those two movies are Fantastical Horrors, this movie is not. [Abigail is a fun watch] it's more like The Beekeeper but with a much smaller scope. an ancient clan of Smugglers with an honor code rather than international government spies. like, do you even know how to movie, bro? |
Thanks jaxe.. If that's the case I'm downloading it.. Abigail was a great movie.. one of my top favorites this year. That kid did an amazing job acting to say the least. Don't think it will come close to being as good though but we'll see how it goes.. Cheers 🍻 D |
Ringin my bell JAXE! I took a masters of horror class when i was at university in the early 80's, thats where i first encountered I Spit On Your Grave, Straw Dogs, Last House On The Left, Freaks etc. |
The preview thumbnail makes the main guy look like Jason Segel |
It took me back to Horror films of the 70's where graphic violence was not shown, but alleged, and the aftermath was shown briefly, where today you see every bit of brain tissue flying into the air & the actual skull imploding. Like A Clockwork Orange, you never see the actual assault, your imagination is instrumental in what is happening during the assault... |
Apparently you haven't watch the correct 70's horror films. Go watch I Spit On Your Grave, Straw Dogs, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, A Bay Of Blood or anything by Dario D'argento. |
