Folks back in 1992 didn't steal catalytic converters. That is a crime trend that just started around 2018 and skyrocketed during the Covid stay at home lockdown of 2020. Also what does Rodney King has anything to do with the plot of the movie? |
The Rodney King incident turned LA into a war zone......industrial areas and predominantly black neighbourhoods became no-go zones - riots, looting, shootings. So ignoring the whole catalytic converters crap - the premise of the movie "Planning a heist in the midst of mayhem, when the cops can't do shit" has legs..... |
Catalytic Converters are nothing new. They have been installed on passenger cars and light-duty trucks since 1975. The history of their use coincided with the introduction of Unleaded Gasoline, also in 1975. It was a racket in my home town around the mid 80's , easy money for some southerners. |
People stole both copper and catalytic converters because theft of precious metals is linked to price and availability. People have been stealing precious metals for a long, long time.... |
Not the sharpest in the box jaxe are we. See comments below and the plot of the movie has gone right over your head as usual. Sincerely. Jackson |
