To be fair to its genre, this uses comedy sparingly and touches on rather sensitive issues such as suicide and unplanned pregnancies. Having watched the original Netflix release, it does a good job of keeping things light-hearted and enjoyable for the Hallmark crowd. Music is also a tool and not the vessel for the movie, which is preferable for most but may be not what musical fans are after ... |
I want to thank you guys for other films you say you liked. I'll watch them later. I'm in the middle of this movie and it seems pretty good , so far, no WOKE stuff, good old fashioned movie where the guy loses the gal and both follow their path and they MEET AGAIN 20 years latter. |
The synopsis reads to me like a Hallmark Movie plot, and I don't know if Harry Connick Jr can save this one. The director has had some middling fare in the past, but it all has been original work that she has written as well. However, her last directorial experience prior to this yeilded high marks for its execution. Unusure of this one, but we'll see if it's any good. Thank you for the film, uploader! Much Appreciated! |
Reviews are mostly good for this Netflix RomCom but I will hard pass. I don't like RomComs except for one: Pretty Woman |
I generally don't like RomComs either, though I can recommend 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days' as it did a good job balancing the romance with actual comedy. |
Me, as well, except I don't even like Pretty Woman. |
Pretty Woman is a masterpiece RomCom along with Body Double and Bound. |
Body Double is a great flick but a romcom it is not! Was just listening to the title theme by Pino Donaggio yesterday, also great. |
Jesus Christ, how young are you? That's like the number one 'romantic' film kids these days use, thanks to google. |
