Rose Dugsdale was a woman born into privilege, but saw the injustices committed by her own country against the people of Ireland. A woman of conscience, and resolve, who lived to see some of the goals she fought and sacrificed her life of privilege for . Definite watch to see if they do her justice. To a woman after my own heart, R.I.P. Tiocfaidh ár lá |
Well said. The world could use more people like Rose today, she was remarkable indeed. |
Guest2288: Not to argue your well-intentioned comment, but I find that there are plenty of ordinary people doing remarkable things all over the world today. IOW:, to paraphrase Mark Twain, "Reports of the moral/social decay of civilization/humanity have been exaggerated". |
@Guest-3154 What about Saint Augustine? hmm.. do you even know who he is? I don't think so... they should make a another movie about his life instead of this terrorist woman. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Augustine_of_Hippo Thawne |
She was a bomb maker & terrorist, and it despicable that nail bombers & the like are praised as heroes. Im not suggesting that the occupation by england was correct, and I have no skin in the game. |
@Guest-2431 One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. |
Movie was Originally called Baltimore but is now called Rose's War. They released this movie 17 days before Rose Dugdale died. Crazy Right? |
This sounds like it might be pretty good...it would be nice if there was a 4K upload |
They might as well have renamed it "Ambien" for the level of excitement it delivers and the effect it will have on viewers... |
I watched this tonight. It wasnt quite as good as I thought it was going to be. The acting was good, the story was good although it was very slow moving. I would probably give it about 6/10...It is still worth the watch. |
A-10 V-9 ... Thanks for the share! Well produced & directed with a good screenplay for a "based on a true story" film and well acted as well. 7.5/10 from me. |
This could be very good. Imogen Poots has done well in some interesting roles, and of course the subject matter is interesting. Hoping everything comes together for a nice flick. |
What? A movie named Baltimore without Omar? Glad they renamed it. |
I'm all for a free & united Ireland, (although I sometimes don't understand why ANYBODY wants to fight over who gets those Ulstermen,) but the IRA were little more than a bunch of murderous thugs, based on their actions & choice of targets through the years. Films about poor little rich girls who rebel against Mummy & Daddy by getting sucked into groups of criminal idiots and their causes are, generally, a waste of time and this one appears no different. Throw-in the action-packed, spine-tingling excitement of hiding out for days in a small cottage after committing a crime, (and little else,) and they might as well have named this movie "Ambien"... |
A movie based on real events and real people is woke. As if the world needed more proof the people crying "woke" are clueless. |
sorry for my ignorance but what baltimore has to do with uk? when i see baltimore i think about The Wire and some american gang shit |
She (Rose Dugsdale) just died in March and they already got a movie out about her? |
Yes jaxe, because Irish people believe a lot in people that support their country. They only stole paintings to support their cause. Even if it were to support the IRA |
"Only stole paintings"...obviously hasen't seen the movie or knows the story...the virus is strong in this one |
Someone didn't take history or ever watched the news or read a newspaper |
