I thought we were past the "let's film everything on zoom" phase |
WOW those screenshots make me think of COVID, kids being stuck at home being schooled over a computer and me firing up old computers running network cables and turning bedrooms into offices with a bed.. I damn near 💩 when I seen what a Logitech web camera was gonna cost me from my local BEST BUY and here nothing was in stock! The cost and demand was unreal..!😡 Judging by those screen shots this could've been called "When The World Went ZOOM!" Sparked some almost forgotten memories that I wouldn't go back too😒.. Thanks for sharing G! Cheers🍻 D |
For a second there I thought this was a Carey Mulligan substance abuse film. |
It's more than passing strange to me that people don't want to engage with anything COVID related. Yes, it was the worst time in recent history and reliving it isn't something that you'd want to revisit - let alone for entertainment. As a proud "pureblood" who refused the jab through it all, to my own detriment ( I was fired from my job ), I think that it is important that we remember, always, the vilification and victimization of the unvaccinated by the authorities and those who deign to consider themselves our betters by dint of their station as so-called celebrities. |
As we now know its the "kvaxxines" that are the plandemic (but it was different batches, from strong to weak), but a bit strange that they still do a lot of "virus-movies"; perhaps they wanna keep the fear levels of very dangerous viruses high...so the "ignorants" poison-inject themselves again the next round? |
I agree with Guest 2848. It could also be corrected as, "When the World (was) Set on Fire." Or, "When the World Set (Itself) on fire." |
I was an English tutor at university. When I ran into a sentence like this, I usually suggested that the author to change it. Because even though it is grammatically correct, you are basically flagging any professor/editor/reader with an awkward sentence. Why not just change it to something that doesn't make a reader pause and attempt to parse the meaning? |
I am so over the virus plot being dragged out and beaten over the head with, why cant it just be over dead and buried and forgotten! So, I'll give this a pass, but thanks uploader. |
IT's liek you say, because of yet the perpetrators are not " dead and buried and forgotten" |
Looking at the screenshots, was this filmed over Zoom meetings? It looks horribly cheap. Total production value budget: $50 |
I guess the Soundtrack will be: The Ink Spots - I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire Damn I didn't know they got Michael Cera to play Paulie Bleeker from Juno again in this Movie in Screenshot #2. |
Damn. Film shoots itself in the foot with illogical grammar RIGHT in the TITLE. That's gotta be some sort of "own goal" record. |
Ummm Before the World Set on Fire is not grammatically incorrect. Its a bad movie but the title is just fine according to US English sources. Time to go back to school. |
I think the spacing in the title threw you off. "Before the World Set on Fire", in a regular sentence is correct. |
On the cover it's all caps except for, the and on. I think that is what zulu was saying. The only ones to do all caps like that are LLC's. Look at your ss card and your name is all caps. Pretty sure any government document has your name in all caps. Have a great day everyone. |
He is correct. "Set" is a verb, an action word, so the title should be, "before the world set WHAT/WHO on fire". If the title was trying to indicate the status of the main character then a comma would have been warranted, "Before the World, Set on Fire", as in someone was set on fire in view of the whole world. |
Even if and that's a big *if* the title is grammatically correct technically it is still a mind-bender of ginormous proportions and takes some linguistic gymnastics to get your head around |
