"On the hunt to obtain her favorite blueberry pie, the children are kidnapped by poachers, battle a witch, outwit a huntsman, befriend a fairy, and bond together to become best friends forever." I'm more inclined to think they ate the poisonous toadstool and licked the frog and were tripping the entire time. And what is with the 70s style poster! |
Dynoman, let me introduce to the concept of a joke: something that is amusing or ridiculous, especially because of being ludicrously inadequate or a sham; a thing, situation, or person laughed at rather than taken seriously; farce; e.g. Homer: I don't get it. Lisa: Dad, it's a joke. Homer: Oh, I get jokes. |
Cool video and audio, started off pretty good with the kids doing quests but then they just hitch a ride w/ a weird girl and her family. NO cell phones, this is supposedly the 70s and shot on Kodak film, maybe 40 mins too long thanks uploader! |
They didn't have clutchless dirt bikes in the 70s and that Ford Raptor is from the 2020s. |
It's not set in the 70s, it is very intentionally set now. The director said 1 reason was "I wanted to have the optimistic view that real, true fairy tale adventures could still happen today." Another was people like you, "it's a super low-budget movie, so I had to set it now in order to avoid any period issues." |
I do like mischievous children movies. Reminds me of my childhood :D |
This looks like something that will be a hit with the tweens and become one of their cult classics. |
Why would you need to hunt down blueberry pie Even our local 7-Eleven stock them Honestly, think they just make these ridiculous storylines up as they go along |
whach tictok for couple of days and you will understand |
I really liked this movie!!! Reminded me of just being a kid and going on adventures with friends. |
Loving this movie. Its like on of these movies where you ask yourself "why do they not make movies like this anymore?" but then they do. |
This movie is fantastic. It's shot in 16MM so has that retro feel, but takes place in current time. The casting is really good and has interesting creative choices. In a way, it feels like the movie, Kenny & Co from the 1970's, but with a fantasy element. It's absurd, wacky, and a lo of fun. |
Plotline is seriously flawed but perhaps thats a deliberate attempt to see life from a childs perspective of an adventure filled summers day. Shot on 16mm '80s style throughout rendering that retro grainy look and feel. Completely wokefree and safe to watch(3rd in a row, must be my lucky week). Cheers. |
Really? That is so uncharacteristic of fantasy films & fairy tales. One characteristic that defines every great film is the plot of all of them are highly plausible and could have really happened. |
i don't get it. Overall bitrate = 974 kb/s and audio have Bitrate = 640 kb/s (not much left for video bitrate) |
this sort of looks like napoleon dynamite but with more napoleons being weird in a mystery time frame. it looks like its the 70s but they have modern 2020s ford raptors so is time traveling involved? a time traveling ford raptor? i dont know. but the trailer actually makes this look pretty entertaining. in a weird way, but entertaining none the less. |
