To the younger audience who may not have heard of it "Deliverance" with Burt Reynolds and John Voight is an excellent movie. Just a side note Burt isnt Ryans dad lol. |
Oh, man, why? Why did you have to squeal like a pig? Squeal, squeal, squeal like a pig!!! |
I remember reading a story Ned Beatty told where like 10 or 20 years later he would be walking down the street in hollywood and people would be yelling out the car window soooooey |
Wow this movie brings back memories. Burt Reynolds was probably the sex symbol for woman in his day. He was a pretty cool guy. I guess he didnt manage his money very well and ended up not very well off at all, near broke kinda thing. He was at one time an A list actor. It was really sad to see him a few years before he died, I think he had parkinsons or some other disease like that. Anyways its a great old film |
I like Jason Statham in Wild Card, but Burt Reynold's Heat is a much better version of the movie. |
This is one of the many low budget B action movies Burt Reynolds made in the mid 1980's to late 1980's along with Stick. Malone, Rent A Cop, Physical Evidence, Uphill All The Way. None of them worth watching. Reynolds was a big star making quality movies until the mid 1980's when he got stuck in a rut of B movies. Not sure what happened. If he changed agent and the new agent couldn't get him roles or he was just taking any roles to make a quick dollar. |
I guess I liked Heat because I was a fan of Burt Reynolds. I actually liked some of the others you mentioned. True they werent the same caliber as he had done...like Deliverance, White Lighning, and The Longest Yard. He was excellent in Boogie Nights. Ya in between those were mostly mediocre. Smokey And The Bandit!! |
Don't forget Sharky's Machine. That was COOL! |
