 | going by the tail lights, the car in the movie is from 1980s, so it doesn't matter if it was set in the USA or Europe |

 | Premise wouldn't be possible today if the movie was made in USA. All trunks (or boots as they are called in the UK) of vehicles sold in USA regardless if they are American or foreign made have the mandatory safety release on the inside to prevent children from being locked in a vehicle's trunk and suffocating to death. It's the law as of 2002. Too bad for the lady in this movie she's in Germany. European Union doesn't have that law. So if you plan to get kidnapped, ask your abductor(s) that they drive a 2002 or newer American made vehicle or vehicle manufactured for sale in the United States past 2002. |
