wait for the 4h version this one feels so incohesive and choppy as hell. |
Thank you, without your comment i would not have known to research this! upon looking i am going to wait for the 4hr+ version as this sounds rough. thanks again |
r u sure? it says 2h 38m on imdb? |
"According to Empire, the four-hour cut features more of Josephine’s life before she meets Napoleon" So who cares about that, pitty attempt for cash grab. |
The directors cut will stream on AppleTV at a later date so it's not even released yet. |
it almost like watching a trailer version |
I wonder what it was called before someone had a Napoleon complex? |
"You think you're so great because you have BOATS!" - Ridley Scott's Napoleon |
Well, it sounds better in the original french. |
Glad I wasn't the first to say it... got halfway through and all I got was that Napoleon was a clingy simp and shut it off. Not at all what I expected. |
Great actor in a terrible performance in a horrible screenplay. This movie fails on all levels. |
Almost 20 years later we are yet again treated with a compiled highlight reel of a Ridley Scott movie in the theatre, rather than a full-fledged historical epic, since it has already become official that 'Napoleon' will be released later on streaming with its entire runtime of almost four hours, which clearly is needed to flesh out many parts of the movie and fill in the emotional and historical blanks, because this - somewhat butchered cut - moves in a breakneck speed and feels too rushed. |
Yeah, I have to agree. I've observed that as well. It's kind of been the business model for Hollywood for some time now. I remember 1st noticing it with the LOTR trilogy. SMH |
People dont rate the upload quality of the movie anymore, its become a post who can say the most coolest and get the most likes....... (See what i just did there ;) ). |
Thank you, esteemed commenters, for mentioning that there will be a 4hr version of this. Otherwise, I might've downloaded this turkey. |
Could anyone that has watched this upload version comment on the A/V quality please. |
Thanks, will give it a go, don't think i am bothered about waiting for a 4 hour uncut version |
damn reading this comments. i'm glad to skip this when i saw it was the only IMAX movie on the city i was on vacation.... |
