Unless the "life-altering experiment" is to fix them (make them straight) what's the point of specifying "queer couple"? |
Then stop trying to redefine the meaning of male and female. |
No one redefines the meaning of male and female. Male remains male, female remains female. We are only slowly realising there is more to the human species than simple binaries. |
Since THAT synopsis is worded differently from the IMDB synopsis I'll venture to guess whoever worked on this page wrote it that way. On no other Movie site does it say "Queer Couple" Which then leads me to believe an employee likes to stir up trouble on this site! None of the Homophobic comments have been taken down. |
Trouble invokes reaction. Reactions are traffic. Traffic is money. Of course they rewrite plots. |
"You can't fix what ain't broken." True, but you can fix what is broken (homosexuals, in this case) |
Guest-3620 lolol NOPE. 2 genders. 2 sexes. not changing cause of your fee'wings. |
Still not able to realise that there is more to a human being than biology, 1537? Never heard of culture, psyche, personality, art, philosophy? |
Deny it all you want, Guest-1537, but we're here and we were always here and will always be here. We are documented in ancient scriptures, such as the Bible even. We are not a whim, a trendy fashion, or a fleeting "fee'wing"; we too are part of what humans are, always have been and always will be. |
Guinevere Turner who plays the doctor wrote the screenplay for American Psycho. |
Thanks for this info; she's done a lot of interesting work, so since she's involved I'm going to check this out! Looks to be a good indie psychological thriller with some refreshingly new twists! |
Welcome to the Homophobia that is the USA! There is something inherently wrong with people who comment on a torrent site about the sexuality , if not STR8, of characters. To waste your time typing hateful comments just shows what Cazzo's you are. The unhappiness of people and the self loathing they portray because they thought of sucking a or schtooping an . Closeted cowards! BTW, Not gay myself but a big ally for unity in America! No one is better than anyone else. And your opinions are not facts. |
Homo: "Human". Phobia: "An uncontrollable, unreasoning fear". Homophobia: "An uncontrollable, unreasoning fear of humans". Don't you just love the way the Left perverts the meanings of words to better promote their agenda? |
Oh, for sure.. homophobia is so bad you never see a single gay person on tv, in film or anywhere!! /s |
Homophobia is so bad, you never see a gay person on tv, in film or anywhere without someone making a fuzz about it. And you, Guest-1985, just proved exactly that point. |
People avoid movies because they assume lgbtqia+ in it. People raise their voices when a movie with (possible) lgbtqia+ is offered on this site. If not out of uncontrollable, irrational fear, why would you make so much noise over something you can very easily avoid? |
@Guest-8235 - FAKE NEWS! - Homo is a Latin word that means man, or human. When it is used as a prefix, as in "homosexual," it comes from the Greek word homos, meaning the same. It is from the word "homosexual" that the noun homo is shortened and takes its second meaning — a derogatory term for a homosexual or gay man. |
It's more the inconsistency. One minute it's " Oh no, you can't say queer, that's a bad word and upsets people" Next minute we're queer that's queer and it's now a good word again. or "We don't want to be labeled blah blah", next breath, we are LGBTQ etc. Choose something and stick to it. |
The real trouble is not that this couple is queer. I can remember great stories with queer couples, both in novels and movies. Hell, I really liked that series, "Queer as Folks". It had a bit of drama, lots of twists and even a touch of thriller and mystery. Back then, a character being queer was simply part of who the character was. Nowadays, the "queer" stamp has been turned into a seal of priority or approval. If the protagonist is queer, you can't say out loud that the plot looks idiotic or, Crom forbids, that the actor/actress is lame. You'll automatically be labeled a bigot. You want to be brave, make a movie adaptation of Clive Barker's "In the hills, the cities". It features a gay couple and makes for a really weird, scary story, an has narrative value. Never saw anyone try that one... |
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume you're straight. |
All this stupid rambling you fools know that not one movie or tv series you have seen in your entire life didnt have gay people in it.. oh but he was married so was rock hudson like that makes a difference ... Hollyweird has always been a safe haven for gay and bi people since the 20's dont like it to bad .. it's been here since before you were a stain on the sheets it'll be here after your planted deal with it instead of crying like a girl about it ... from Will Geer to Christopher Walken deal with it |
Ah yes. The Magical Dick that turns all lesbians straight. |
@LiberalLesbo yes it is defiantly a thing and someitmes they just need to be made to do it and theyll grow to like it |
@Guest-1624: Forcing a on lesbians is making them go straight as much as forcing a on you is going to make you gay: NOT. So, it's neither definitely nor defiantly a thing. |
@Guest-6060 u dont understand biology, women are primed by nature to want dick its just a matter of nutrue to get them to accept . i would never want dick because i don't have a mental illness or childhood trauma |
You couldn't be more wrong, dude, and I'm speaking from own experience. Life is not about your sex organ and relationships are best not chosen on the sex organ either. It's personality that counts first and foremost and, sorry, but women are far more attractive than men are to me. And you prove my right. |
I realize in the 2020's, it's more in usage in our society to use appropriate words or semantics vs. the one's used back 30 years ago that were accepted. Does that mean whoever writes these IMDB plot(s) is giving us a "wrong" description of what a movie is about? No, however, it should be written more "politically" correct, because it can and is offensive to a group or let me add groups of people. I'm not here to debate what any of you said, because many of you offer really terrific points! I think we all make some determination of what a plot is about, then in our minds if it's a HARD PASS or worth watching, and the way someone writes these plots up in IMDB, definitely can influence our decision. Why? For example, It's as if many pandemic movies that came out in mass qty., and some people (including myself) wish to avoid them, because just about 99% of them ended up being low budget, as well as low rated movies. (EASY PASS, I'd say!). Is this analogous to other types of movies? Yes and No. I think for many of the movies out there, no matter what, judging them all by stereotyping them as perhaps I would a "pandemic" movie is wrong, but that's how "I" look at it! I need to check out the budgets, and plot, etc. in IMDB for any movie to see if it's a HARD PASS, or not, if I'm "unclear", or on the fence about any movie, no matter what, before making a decision! To be honest, the only one's I've stereotyped and eliminated are "pandemic" and "shark" movies, but that's my choice! Some have made others.... The criteria is different for deciding for each of us, and when the movie "Philadelphia" came out, a few decades ago, I was blown away, because it was a great movie! However, there aren't even a handful that are close in that genre for me that I enjoy, or would even watch, but I still evaluate each movie as they are all different, unlike "Pandemic" and "Shark" movies for my taste! Kindest Regards, RT!:) |
No critique of the subject matter, let all live their lives. The movie was awful, not a good use of your TV's pixels, or your data package or your storage medium. Awful! Bad! |
Hey look, a real review of the movie that doesn't stray into culture war BS! Kudos, and thanks for the information! |
@justsomedude6x - you say "I am not homophobic. I have no phobia, I am however revolted by their practice and trying to mix in with the normies" So you aren't homophobic.....yet there is a group called the "Normies"? Are those the guys that have gay sex from Grindr then go home to their wives and kids? That one sentence makes you a bigoted homophobe! |
Bro People are scared of spiders, why cant I be scared of gays. Lets see the human race continue with out the straights bro. Pride is one of the seven deadly sins man |
Fun fact: no lgbtqia+ wants the world without straights. That makes your comment, 1669, totally redundant and based on absolutely nothing. And your "sins" are only valid with bible lovers. The world turned before the bible and it will still turn after the bible as well. But read what your Christ said. |
More gay ass low budget disgusting fodder aimed at the 3%. Hard pass but the lgbt squad here knew that already. |
Your information is woefully outdated. Over 7% of the US adult population identifies as LGBT. Also, there are people like me who don't identify as such, but have no problem watching a show or movie with LGBT actors or characters. Just because you are homophobic doesn't mean the rest of us are. |
I'll presume you don't go out murdering, but will watch films containing people killing each other. There do you see how easy it is to watch something that might not reflect who YOU are? |
I am not homophobic. I have no phobia, I am however revolted by their practice and trying to mix in with the normies by shoveling their agenda knee deep in way to many movies will not make it a social norm. I also doubt your 7% figure. Like 90 mil people voted for that doddering old criminal Biden. |
7% in California maybe, 1% in the rest of the country that has not been taken over by the social contagion. |
Not just the { lgbt squad} @justsomedude6x everybody knows what you think |
justsomedude6x - that is exactly phobia, which is a much more complex psycho-physical reaction than just fear/anxiety. And disgust is a moral emotion that is closely related to fear, especially aversion. Read up on the philosophy of emotions; Martha Nussbaum's theory of disgust is particularly interesting. |
Also multiple polls confirm the 7%+. And not just in "woke states"; just google "LGBTQ by state." And, like similar things that aren't yet universally accepted, that 7% is low. Lots of people won't out themselves in polls. And most people fall on a spectrum: for instance, I identify as straight but I'd say I'm 80% so. |
If 7% are what you say then why does 100% of movies have to put them in all movies. Just saying why push this one the majority, just maje 7$ of them... |
First of all, it's not 100 percent (means ALL) of movies. Secondly, ALL movies that portrait society (except the few movies that only show a very limited number of people isolated from society) will by consequence have to include a percentage of lgbtqia+. Basic logic. |
Just some average douche bag argues the numbers again after he and his homophobic ilk (look it up, homophobic does not JUST mean a fear) have been owned so many times by this site's regular lesbo commenter. Dunno about 'spectrums' but is what older dudes/chicks come out with when they are trying to seduce younger dudes/chicks Heard it many a time |
WRONG!!! Nearly 1 in 10 adults across 30 countries identify as LGBTQ, according to a new global survey, but that number tells only part of the story. Age and geographic location played a central role in the findings. |
i started watching the movie and immediately switched off. really weird scene to begin with. apparently the director wanted to signal from the very first start that there is no story, just signaling and wanted us to be aware so it would save us the time for watching any longer. very considerate |
How would you know there is "no story" when you turned the movie off right after the first scene? |
Nearly 1 in 10 adults across 30 countries identify as LGBTQ, according to a new global survey, but that number tells only part of the story. Age and geographic location played a central role in the findings, with younger respondents and those in more progressive countries significantly more likely to be included in that top-line number. Demographics, including gender, also figured noticeably in respondents' views on issues like transgender discrimination and same-sex marriage. Ipsos, a market-research company, surveyed 22,514 participants in 30 countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia in February and March, and found that 3% identified as lesbian or gay, 4% as bisexual, 0.9% as pansexual or omnisexual, and 0.9% as asexual. Survey respondents in Generation Z (born after 1997) were two times as likely as millennials (born in 1981 to 1996) to identify as bisexual, pansexual, omnisexual or asexual, and four times as likely as those in Generation X (1965 to 1980) or baby boomers (1948 to 1964). When survey results were broken down by geography, respondents in Spain were the most likely (6%) to identify as gay or lesbian, while those in Brazil and the Netherlands were the most likely to identify as bisexual (both 7%). By contrast, respondents in Japan were the least likely to identify as gay or lesbian (less than 1%) or as bisexual (1%). In terms of gender identity, 0.8% of respondents identified as transgender; 1.3% percent as nonbinary, gender nonconforming or gender fluid; and 0.7% did not identify with any of these categories but also did not identify as male or female. Like sexual identity, there are large — and growing — generation gaps. While 6% of Generation Z respondents identified as something other than exclusively male or only female, 3% of millennials reported the same, while only 1% of Generation X and boomers did. “We are seeing generational shifts. Globally, only 4% of boomers identify as LGBT+ versus 18% of Gen Z,” Nicolas Boyon, a senior vice president at Ipsos, told NBC News. “Older generations are seeing this and are probably a little bit puzzled.” LGBTQ visibility Globally, LGBTQ visibility has increased since 2021, when Ipsos last conducted its global survey. Nearly half (47%) of adults say they have a relative, friend or colleague who is lesbian or gay, up from 42% in 2021, and more than a quarter (26%) say they know someone who is bisexual, an increase of 2 percentage points from 2021. When it comes to gen |
Isn't it amazing that the people who benefit from freedom of speech are becoming the most aggressive people against it. Your feelings are real, your opinions are your own and can be freely expressed in most Western countries. But you still cannot escape biological facts and evidence. |
You just don't get it, do you? Intimacy between people is not 'biology'. No one denies biology, but it is not your idea of biology (male mates female) that dictates which people we like better than others. You don't dictate who we like, but you should ask yourself why you think you need to interfere with our love life. |
less discusting because its women and who dont mind some of dat ;) ;) but its a Mexicant and a fugly pregnent woman so literally not even wasting my time with this immoral s*** |
Racist, sexist AND homophobe. Plus approved twice on the same page. Now that's moderating. Responses to this have been deleted numerous times, although staff says: "You don't agree with people? Oppose them". How, staff, HOW when you censor all opposition? |
