Thank you for this. Anything Sam Esmail is worth check it out. |
I'll pass on this one. from the description it sounds like a guilt, virtue thing. I've had all I can take of division and racial issues. |
I´ve watched it and it´s a pretty good suspense movie. Several enemy countries unite and attack the U.S. and destroy it and civil war begins with the people that are still alive from the radiation and mayhem. Produced by Barack and Michelle Obama. It´s a pill hard to swallow for U.S. citizens but it could happen. |
so far its all "You don't think WE own this home because we're BLACK?!?" |
Netflix just posted a clip from this film where a fleet of Teslas are trying to run over Julia Roberts |
And if you read the sticker on the automobile what is more shocking is that the 'autopilot' upgrade comes at a cool $16,000 bucks Just so you don't have to park or change lane on the freeway |
This film is incredibly disappointing. While the cast delivers solid performances -- as they should because they are all fantastic actors -- the movie itself doesn't seem to know whether it wants to be an apocalypse film, a treatise on race relations, or a psychological thriller. And it fails on each count, copping out sensationally in an ending that it hopes will be poignant but turns out to be trite. It gets off to a strong start (there are some pretty great set-pieces like the oil tanker and the North by Northwest crop-duster tribute) but is then swallowed up by a lot of pointless dialogue that addresses everything but the elephant in the room, namely the fact that the s**t has hit the proverbial fan. Netflix has a knack of taking promising content and turning out half-baked nonsense. A/V: 10 Movie: 5/10 |
I watched this on Netflix last night and I wont get into over analyzing it. While I wouldnt call this a great movie, it is worth the watch. The ending was kinda stupid. I would give this about 6.5/10....maybe even 7/10 |
Thank you for appreciating, you are so grateful and polite, There should be more nice people like you here |
Sounded good up until the whole “race” bull. More white guilt coming your way |
Please be fair. If it comes to addressing race relations and Velma was on one end of the spectrum then this would fall on the opposite end. You should watch and appreciate this movie. Yes, it's a work of fiction so obviously there is some embellishment and overdramatizations but it really hits some interesting topics. |
As for the "chud" comment. You should really look at some of the key themes in this movie. "Communication" and "networks" being at its core. This movie addresses: English, Media, Spanish, Music, Economic signals, and much more I can't fit here. You should learn how to communicate and listen to people you disagree with. |
This movie is a 'work of fiction' Really |
I've just finished watching it and there's no mention of race anywhere in there, well there's one quick snarky comment at some point but that's it. The fact you focus on this is more of a personal issue with you than anything about the movie. |
NPC's always say the same lame stuff. It's always "chuds", "seethe", "cope", etc. All while projecting more than an Imax theater. The Obamas producing tells you everything you need to know about this movie. |
From peter puffing Weinstein. That's how she got the Pretty Woman role that made her famous. |
@jaxe doubt it. According to Rose McGowan's testimony, Weinstein's doodle is this little weird scarred and deformed nubbin. It's also got some kinda saline implant that he has to manually pump in order to extend it to a workable length. |
Watchable and entertaining enough, huge potential to be a lot more, but let down by lack of talent and amateurism in the executive production department |
Great film. Would like to see a sequel. And not to be mean but that girl who plays Rose just looks like a female Steve Buscemi, hard to not see. I'll also add that the son, Archie, and I had the same idea with those bikini pics of Myha'la's tiny little body. RT |
I'm 2/3 of the way through and just wanted to chime in real quick and say that it's woke adjacent not full on woke though still annoying. As if there's one woke, race hustling writer who couldn't help she/her self and the other writer(s) just let she/her get a line or two in there to shut them up. Like, there's some completely unnecessary race-baiting comments that are thrown in for some reason but it's tame compared to most stuff out recently. So far it's very well acted, written (besides the pointless and unnecessary race-baiting) and shot with an unnerving score and effective soundtrack. I'm pleasantly surprised. I'm hopeful that the last 1/3 delivers |
Its the same old you cant trust people you know but can trust strangers story. And saying uniting like the animals is the way to be. A bad ending thats supposed to make you wonder did she or didnt she watch Friends? |
Really hits home on the woke/anti white points. Priviledged white couple cannot fathom a black couple could own a home. Younger black girl has armpit hair and is super anti-white. Annnd it just gets worse from there. |
Unhinged (dissociated pieces of nothing) script...it's almost like there's NO DIRECTOR...reveal NEVER happens 20 minutes or more are uncalled for filling...some dialogue is ok...4 out of 10...not even close to "a quiet place" or "bird cage" ...ymmv |
This one's obviously not for the typical butthurt american audience. Highly entertaining for viewers from the rest of the world though, as it's not the usual mass produced 'americans save the world' bullshit. |
