Tried watching this. It has the feel of a made for tv movie. There are black screens where the adds would appear. The acting is ok, and mostly believable, nothing great. Special effects are quite good, for what it is. It follows the book same as the original movie, but I did not really feel for the characters. I would rate it as 4/10 |
Gave up watching this. The acting is awful, effects weren't too bad. Just trying to cash in. The should make a film based on the musical, stick to that era, that would be good. |
A modern retelling of the Jeff Wayne interpretation. Not groundbreaking SFX but capable for what it is and it's budget. A keeper, but only just; above the quality of say... the average outing from 'The Assylum', but only just. TV movie feel and keeps you kinda hooked even though you know the tale. Martians are sparse compared to high budget offerings - still a vast improvement over the Boston Dynamics 'dog' / Gabriel Byrne 2019 version imho, which is really stretched to snapping point with pointless uninspiring filler. |
very childish movie played by adolecent actors. it's really like a movie for children but the actors are all grownups but behaving as if they were 10yo. the science, explanation and causality in the movie is completely absent. it's a waste of time |
The story of 3 deranged astronomers scared of intelligent life from Mars |
Well, they got attacked so they had every reason to be scared. |
I usually don't post here. but in light of this movie if you call it that English Garbage Movie another one downloaded looked over and wiped. |
Only if it's Earth and Mars that are at war. If it's Saturn and Nibiru it's OK. |
It's a big change (regarding profile image) -- jaxe |
So, once more: And yet, jaxe, you used "trademark" where only "copyright" applies. |
When you know that trademark and copyright are two different things, then why do you ask? No, the heirs of H.G. Wells do not and never have owned the trademark "War of the Worlds", only the copyrights. The trademark is owned by Paramount. |
