"their ability to save their marriage will literally determine the fate of humankind itself." Can't get more narcissistic than that. |
Moral of the story: don't give critical projects to women scientists. |
Why did you use the word "narcissism"? It applies in no way to the quote that you give. |
Srsly 2831? The comment was very clear, do you really don't get it? |
All that was clear from the comment, CaptDesko, is that the term "narcissism" is used inappropriate in this case. Realising that there is a need to work together is actually the one thing a narcissist would never get to. |
So, no such thing as "group (or couple) narcissism" then? To believe that mankind's fate depends on their marriage alone sounds... excessive to me. |
This whole thing has nothing to do with narcissism, group or individual. She retreats to get focussed, but still can't because of marital problems. So yeah, they need to work on that. Seems straight forward normal solution to me. The consequences of not focussing is not something she imagines. |
Set in the not-so-distant future. What word did you not understand? |
Looking at the screenshots and the lead, it's obvious why you feel the need to complain. |
Scientists are always human. They come in one basic shape...Human. You would not notice a scientest, judge, police officer or soccer umpire if they were in civies and you bumped into them on the street. Plot...Hmm. Save Marriage and work out your problems, or human race gets wiped out. Tolerate the B/B for humanitys sake, PLEASE!!! |
There is a good quote at end of this watchable drama with a twist by 'Ehthel Earnhearst' "Make something that you are proud of and if no one likes it then F!"£ 'em'" |

The fate of all humanity depends on the outcome of drama, petty bickering, and selfishness in a failed marriage. Makes you question whether humans even should survive. |
OK so I caught the 100 comments about narcissism and about what water contains but what about the movie? was it any good? lol |
Guests 2720/3299 - While this is not my area of speciality, what you're talking about is high school osmosis and the passage of salts across the cell membrane, and you’re both quite right. Human cells have a high water content within the cell membrane. Salts are dissolved within that water, and in other fluids surrounding those cells (e.g., your blood). There are processes which regulate the transport of material across the cell membrane. When the concentration of salts is much higher on the outside of the membrane, osmotic pressure means that water travels out of the cell; when the concentration is higher inside the cell, water travels more readily into the cell. Drinking salt water raises the concentration outside of cells = bad for you; drinking distilled water lowers that concentration = bad for you. Neither will kill you straight away, but it’s definitely not good excessively or long term. I would GUESS — not being a clinical specialist and without looking at any real data — that salt water would be worse for the health of the average westerner, given that salts are so readily available from so many other dietary sources. Whereas drinking (a modest amount of) distilled water, would probably be pretty harmless. My question there would be “define modest amount” and for how long? Do you want to get the trials started now? Or should we apply for ethics permissions first? The latter might be a long wait. Posted after I posted the above, Guest-3652/3724 seems to have a pretty good grasp of the clinical implications (like I said, not my area -- field biologist: distribution patterns of organisms from microbes to mammals). I am happy to defer to superior expertise. |
Now I understand what science teacher meant by 'maintaining your electrolytic balance' Thnx |
So what did Imma say when she finished watching? |
I'm about = 9 letters/characters Imma bout = 9 letters/characters Advantage = none Annoyance = high |
I see a sitting man with his eyes closed in the 1st pic, then a sitting woman with her eyes closed in the 3rd pic, then a man and a woman sitting with their eyes closed in the 6th pic. It's like a trend slowly taking on. |
A8/V9: came down fast narcissism this movie is very, its all about the them ,they no one else thats narcissism .... they have to fix "there marriage", only they can save the world, it all revolves around them,,, narcissism is a self-centered personality style characterized as having an excessive interest in one's excessive preoccupation with one's own needs, often at the expense of others. and yes you can have groups of narcissistic people where its all about them, good example most motorcycle clubs are very narcissistic they do what they want when they want and its all about them at your expense .. |
Narcissism is a psychological disorder. Don't confuse egocentrism with narcissism. As I said before, but which you -of course- deleted again, when we all start using words the way we want it instead if what they actually stand for, it'll be the end of all communication. |
narcissism has more then one meaning yours is just a medical one since where on that subject of using words the way we want... hummm |
Narcissism is compulsive; the love for oneself is beyond one's control. Egocentrism is putting yourself consciously at the centre of everything. Very much different and shoudn't be confused. Please use the right words in the right place at the right time, is all I say. |
You can by something called 'smart water' that you can buy in 7-11 stores They like boil it and collect the steam i.e. distil it but then the add electrolytes before bottling it |
