 | Thank you TGx for another excellent week of outstanding movies! Had a chance to download some, and was able to watch "Abandoned" earlier. Didn't check the up to date ratings on IMDB so didn't know what to expect, so was hoping it would keep my attention & be a good movie, and it was "fair"! First off, the torrent was excellent as always, as you can see above, I gave it 5 stars...A/V 10/10, so thank you very much to whomever did the encoding, very much appreciated, as to the entire TGX personnel, and all the volunteers, that lend a hand to help everyone out as well, you all are fantastic!:) Back to the movie, having seen some great movies in my time, as @jaxe does point out above, and having to rate others based on those, is a bit unfair, however the IMDB rating system is set-up that the cream will rise to the top, and the weakest to the bottom like most other rating systems, even if they go about it, a bit differently. In "Abandoned", not to add any spoilers, but think the "crux" of the movie really centers on the wife/mother "Cindy", convincing her husband/father "Alex" that she doesn't mind a "little bit of haunting (in a home)", and so what has happened there in the past, doesn't really bother them for starters! I thought for a horror movie, it was just slightly below average, and that's only bc there have been so many others in the genre that really are captivating. If you've run out of horror movies, definitely look some others up, as there are so many other good one's out there, and depending on what type you're after, you can find one that's fairly similar to this one, in other words one in which its not going to be a slasher type movie throughout, but do think it held my attention, which was good! Would give it an M=4.0-4.5 range (IMDB rating), and believe anything higher would be infringing on other movies in the 5's that deserved it!:) Hope those that take a chance as I did, will find enjoyment from it, and there are some suspenseful times that will keep you on the edge of your seat, & it was not a waste of time!:) Have a great weekend everyone, and thx again TGx! :)  |

| Definitely not going to watch. There is a woman in a bathtub on the poster saving the world from bathwater. The directors name starts with an S, first AND last name. That's says enough about the quality of this flick. Plus the third screen shot is of an empty room and the other screen shots all have this same woman. I'm not watching such a display of maternal-liberal-woke-agenda-stuff-a-ma-thingy, but it sure will not keep me from whining about it and ruining your day as well.. |
