The paycheck from this movie should put another $1000 dent toward the accrued interest on Cage's IRS debt which was originally $14 million, I think it's down to about $6-7 million now not including interest. |

 | I just watched this. Not quite sure what to say about this film. I only grabbed it because Nick Cage was in it. I have liked most of his films but this not one of them. I tend to agree with kentk9...It is bonkers. It is a film that I will not watch multiple times. I have seen worse so I will rate it a 2. A/V quality is very good. |

 | Howdy folks! Just finished it and wanted to add a few comments. I would call this an 'arthouse film' - in the style of Alejandro Jodorowsky (The Holy Mountain, Santa Sangre etc.) with surreal-looking sets that could have been designed and painted by Salvador Dali. If you're into avant-garde films and/or the Japanese aesthetic (Kabuki, Geisha, Samurai) you could take this for a spin and possibly enjoy it, but I think it's just too bonkers for the average Joe. On the plus side, you do get to see Nic Cage in a loin cloth.   The A/V is excellent, as usual. End credits begin at 1 hour and 37 minutes. Not quite sure how to rate this - so I won't. It's colorful and weirdly entertaining but probably not for the mainstream movie-goer, imho.Thanks, GalaxyRG. 🥂 |
