  Issues with the site (VPN related)

The current country i`m on is working but for backup to reach Torrentgalaxy  was wondering if i am connected to VPN how can i use the Thor browser Onion link? At the Thor website they say:  "Generally speaking, we don't recommend using a VPN with Tor unless you're an advanced user who knows how to configure both in a way that doesn't compromise your privacy."
Would i have to use Thor 1st and gather magnets into a text file perhaps? then connect to VPN?  In my VPN exceptions list it only has an ability to add websites and not apps, perhaps there is a website that accesses Thor for me without using Thor?
I mean really it not a big deal i could just pause the active torrents and switch VPN servers back and forth till i find a country that works but thought to ask about the accessing of Onion links whilst torrenting.

You don't need to connect to your VPN when using TOR (it's slow enough without putting it through another tunnel) although it does add another level of protection, it's not the downloading of .torrent file that's illegal, it's the downloading of the copyrighted content that's contained in the .torrent that's illegal.

So yes, grab your torrents through TOR then connect to your VPN and boot up your client and away you go :_party:_party:_pirate

As of today (April 20 2024) the link to https://proxygalaxy.me/ is down along with torrentgalaxy.me. I am able to connect using proxy torrentgalaxy.to

https://torrentgalaxy.to/ is the main domain but the proxies are working for me as well.

I had an issue with accessing torrentgalaxy.to. I'm aware that, if you just want access to torrents, that's not a problem. You just use a proxy. However, if your VPN is blocked, you obviously can't login to your account to access the forum. It's working now, but in the future, is there a list of TorrentGalaxy's blocked VPN services?

TorrentGaxaly does not block VPN services....just certain addys that are used to attack it in any way.
VPN services buy "ranges"....if you are using a VPN addy/I.P. that is in the same "range" as one that is being used nefariously then you may be caught up in the safety net of iffy I.P.'s:_:-(
That is why we advise users/Members etc to "Change your I.P. or VPN server/addy/router I.P." if/when you encouter El Fenco :_party:_pirate

My OS is Linux Xubuntu so malware is not relevant. My router speed is 742/63 my desktop WiFi speed is 413/63. In general I have nothing to complain about internet speed. Except here. Regularly I get the message while browsing this website: error establishing a database connection
