| https://variety.com/2022/film/news/bruce-willis-retiring-acting-apashia-1235219017/ https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/30/health/aphasia-explainer-wellness/index.html Maybe this is why he has been making a ton of direct to video B movies where he gets paid $1 million for just appearing in a few minutes of total scenes in each movie? Looking at his IMDB page, he has 8 more of those B movies completed and in post production. Nothing in pre-production, production or filming. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000246/ Guess there will be no more Die Hard films with Bruce Willis as John McClane. There has been talk in Hollywood for several years now, since the last Die Hard film in 2013, to continue the series with his son Jack McClane taking over or to reboot the entire series entirely. Several script were submitted and actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead who plays Lucy Gennero-McClane, John McClane's daughter, expressed interested in returning to the role a 3rd time. But then Disney bought 20th Century Fox in 2019 and decided to completely remove Die Hard from their production imprint and any future consideration. | |

| https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/movies/story/2022-03-30/bruce-willis-aphasia-memory-loss-cognitive-disorder just in case LA Times block the article with a Paywall, here's a quote: According to those who have worked with the elder Willis on his recent films, the actor has been exhibiting signs of decline in recent years. In interviews with The Times this month, nearly two dozen people who were on set with the actor expressed concern about Willis’ well-being. These individuals questioned whether the actor was fully aware of his surroundings on set, where he was often paid $2 million for two days of work, according to documents viewed by The Times. Filmmakers described heart-wrenching scenes as the beloved “Pulp Fiction” star grappled with his loss of mental acuity and an inability to remember his dialogue. An actor who traveled with Willis would feed the star his lines through an earpiece, known in the industry as an “earwig,” according to several sources. Most action scenes, particularly those that involved choreographed gunfire, were filmed using a body double as a substitute for Willis. So it's $2 million for 2 days work in these direct to video B-movies. That's pretty good. Anyone of us would take that $. | |

| I can't say I'm sorry to see him bow out. The last few movies I saw him in were pretty dire, but he has left us with some fun stuff. My personal favorites will forever be the early days of Moonlighting. Good luck to him, and may he live out his fortune... or leave it to me, either way I'm good | |

| I`d be curious to know scrolling down imdb`s Bruce Willis` filmography page what folks would consider to be Bruces` last great film. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000246/ Whist i havent seen alot of his later stuff i`m guessing folks may say the sequel to Unbreakable, being glass Glass (2019)" i suppose is half decent tho its totally subjective and could be great to some Anyone have any opinions to say what his last good or great movie would be? | An old professor of mine once said to the room at large, "That's opinion of course, not really based on empirical evidence. I've always thought that opinions are very much like ass-holes. We all have them, and whilst some are clean-cut and well-formed, others are full of ." For what it's worth, I loved 12 Monkeys (1995; https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114746/). | |

| AH well, if we talking about favorite Willis films then i`d have to go with: 12 Monkeys, The Fifth Element, Die Hard with a Vengence, Pulp Fiction & The Last Boy Scout. However If we talking about Willis` last great or good film, then so far no one has mentioned anything in the last 20+ years which is hard to believe...its been 10 years since i watched Looper (2012) i think i may have liked it?, may have to rewatch... As i dont watch much films these days (prefer tv series) was wondering amongst the garbage for a paycheck of recent years if there was anything good he was in that we may have missed? any hidden gems? | Sad to hear about Bruce Willis' sicknesses, but in one interview he said he drinks a bottle of heavy alcohol per a day, A his quote: "I had been sober [for a while] but once I realised that I wasn't going to run myself off the pier of life with alcohol, drinking vodka out of the bottle every day… I have wine now, mostly when I eat." no doubt this sinful weakness has hit him just in the head, so Willis himself is to blame in some measure, the sicknesses are like karma for his bad deeds against his God-given body | |

| I don't know what alcohol has to do with his sickness. He suffers from Aphasia. This usually occurs suddenly, often following a stroke or head injury, but it may also develop slowly, as the result of a brain tumor or a progressive neurological disease. | |

| The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference. Dawkins, R. (1995). River Out of Eden: A Darwinian View of Life. (p. 133). Weidenfeld & Nicolson. Fortunately, The Universe doesn't give two for your ideas of sin and karma. Poor old Brucie just drew a short straw in the great big health & genetics lottery we all have to play. Much love, and not a little sympathy to him, his loved ones, and anybody who's had, or is having, a similar experience. | |
