| well, i don't know if it is my setup the cause of the problem, but qbitorrent called home and advise me of a new update was available. i updated qbitorrent and made a new torrent to upload on the sites i have accounts. and the problem begun  when i uploaded to certain sites it gave me the error - perser error. i rolled back my qbitorrent to the previous version and solved the problem. i would like to know if it was only me or if the problem is happening to more users of the specific client. | |

| for me it seams the new version was making corrupted .torrent files...some sites accepted them others not, TGx was not accepting them. I solve that rolling back Qb. | |

| Might be worth checking QB settings (in QB 4.4) to make sure torrents are being created with BitTorrent V1 for now, because QB introduces support for BitTorrent V2 and allows torrents to be created with V2, which many sites do not yet support. | |

| by default 4.4 does not load with V1 selected so once you select V1 the first time all works well for uploading fine. you know it needs changing if your .torrnt file size is about 3 times bigger than 3.9 CORRUPTED .torrent files as you reported is due to the wrong settings Last edited by Deep61 on 2022-01-13 21:09:25 | |

| Thank you very much for all the useful information. I have started uploading torrents in the last two days and just noticed some major bugs in the client. Tomorrow I will try the older versions and if it doesn't work properly I will look for another client. My real problem was the torrent launching in the client, because it didn't treat me as an uploader, it put me in the downloaders.    Do you have any tips, any advice for this? | |

| Seems this has been an ongoing problem for awhile. https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/8397 Read the comments. Multiple solutions to try for a fix. If nothing works for you, maybe time for a different client. | |

| have not had that problem but i went from 3.8 to the 4.5.. if it becomes a major issue you can uninstall it completely from the puter even the files in the user and prefect folders keep your torrents and files in tact dont delete them by mistake go get 3.8 install that and see ... if its working properly ok then go to the qbit site and get the new exe and install it on top of 3.8 it will do its thing to delete old stuff and install the new stuff .. just dont install from the client ive had issues with that in the past ... see if it works cant hurt better then sitting wondering . | Today I spent all day testing trackers to see which ones worked and which ones didn't. Well, none of the 54 work for me. I can only torrent using DHT and peer exchange.  I also tried 5 torrent clients today. BitComet wrote about the trackers "UDP Tracker DNS resolve failed."   BitLord wrote something even more interesting thing before the installation, or rather instead of it: "Unable to install the program because no Internet. Check your internet connection." Meanwhile, the torrents were running at full speed in qBittorrent and also the FireFox was working. Once upon a time, ProtonMail wrote me that my internet was unstable, intermittent, fragmented, skipping. This problem is probably caused by the router, something should be changed in it to make the net stable. Coming back to the trackers, only 6 out of the 15 recommended by TGx work, in order: GalaxyTV 3 udp://tracker.opentrackr.org:1337/announce 1439 635 16420 1 udp://open.stealth.si:80/announce 944 399 13248 4 udp://tracker.torrent.eu.org:451/announce 1016 449 11148 7 udp://ipv4.tracker.harry.lu:80/announce 1013 425 10759 10 udp://tracker.moeking.me:6969/announce 900 365 10487 2 udp://tracker.tiny-vps.com:6969/announce 256 207 8562 Two of the torrent clients were immediately disabled by Firewall, which wouldn't even let me install them. I noticed that two of the torrent clients immediately showed my real IP address. One of them even wrote me that all my data would be seen by others and I would be responsible for all activities. It's a good thing I use a VPN, because it doesn't seem to do any good. | |

| For tracking Trackers which works and what doesn't, you can track them here to replace tracker with non-working one before creating a torrent: https://newtrackon.com/ (check daily if you want and create a torrent with working ones) This link mentioned on this greater Topic: Recommended trackers list You can get the working list from the thread to use. Furthermore, sometimes torrent client doesn't show the status clearly, there might be several reasons, misconfiguration of connection/firewall/VPN, timeout issue, multiple torrents under seeding/download, and least port forwarding issue, so, make sure everything to the point and well configured... You can still update the tracker by right-click and update, it shall work normally if it was down for a moment, remember tracker never dies, fewer chances (if there is any, we get replacement for it), it shall stop working for a little while, but it works again, (timeout issues are common) so, if you see it's red it doesn't mean it's dead Anyway, hope this helps you, and my advice, avoid playing with multiple torrent clients on a single machine, 2 are obvious but not just trash one and try 3rd, stick to 1, which suits on your need and keep it going! I have 3 computers, I rarely use the old ones because they are not energy efficient. They use six times as much power as the new one. My friend called it a power plant, it heats up the room. It has a 600 watt power supply and even runs win7. It's built into a large server enclosure. The old machine does not have this problem:       | |
