sherb, Fords in the UK are not same as in North America.They last much longer in the UK. Drove Fords for years.Now I drive Japanese made in the USA.Never had any major issues.

I think Ford are pretty reliable, never had any major problems. Only reason mine needs wishbones is because of the pot holed roads we have here, and wife works in the countryside where the roads are even worse.

That's regular maintenance & not motor or transmission problems.I use to drive Grand Marquis models they were good but not as good as the Japanese ones.The Marquis models I drove were basically a Lincoln same parts but $8000,00 less.
