Star Wars 4K77, 2160p source. Ai-Enhanced 2 passes, for much better clarity and detail. Then increased framerate to 60FPS using SVP 4 PRO + TensorRT RIFE 4.14 V2.
This was my third go at 4K77. I have two other versions of the 4K77 releases that I worked the AI magic on. Though, I wasn't happy with the end results of the other two. I hope you all enjoy this one! I think it turned out really great!

 | The only movie I ever watched 8 times from the front row (until ESB of course). I have collected many non-specialized versions of this, searching for my childhood experience which George doesn't seem to understand (or care), is etched on my brain. I didn't like the 35mm raw scans but this is excellent. Its my new favorite and cant wait to show my friends. Thanks for your efforts! |

 | I watched this in its entirety last night. My home theater is powered by the Epson UB5050 projector and the 158" cinemawide acoustic screen from Silver Ticket. My thoughts on the video was it is interesting and this is just comments on the A.I. tech, not the work of the creator. I use to make fan edits too under the name Wookie Groomer and I invested a lot of time and money into till I had to walk away because it will eat you alive. The opening sequence in space lacked any detail (the ships were just blobs) and the starfield was missing information and jittery. Once inside the ship with the droids, they popped off the screen in a surreal three dimensional way I had never experienced before. Things had turned razor sharp. This was a common thread throughout the entire film. Some scenes were lacking detail and others were mindblowing. The skies and desert as did the surfaces on objects all seems too real but not in a bad way. I know the AI upscale was to credit for that and it worked well. The overall image quality of the film seemed very artificial but it was not possible to pinpoint in what way. I don't dare say uncanny valley because that's not it but in a way it is because the image is not what was shot on film. I've seen Star Wars maybe 100 times in my life and as much as this was next level, it was also not real. I watched over an hour of the recent "The Abyss" which is A.I. enhanced and it too had a strange modern sheen while the images didn't have life in them. It's not the elimination of film grain but the reconstruction of the frames entirely. The motion interpolation is far superior to that of what a TV can do with frame insertion but still introduces unforgivable artifacts during fast motion sequences mostly at the end during the death star battle. The laser blasters at the ends of the X-Wing X foils literally disappear and reappear as the ships fly past. The scene transitions were problematic through the entire movie. I didn't spend time to still frame to see what was going on but it's noticeable at normal speed and distracting. The contrast was off as some scenes were washed out while others looked right but the blacks were completely crushed leaving no detail to be seen. I compared this release against my 4K UHD disc and was immediately caught off guard with the stuttering caused by 24fps. It's crazy how the brain adapts. I cannot take credit for all the work put into it before I added my own Ai touches, Using Topaz Video Ai 4.0.9, then used 4.1.0 focus-fix. |

| I've since started using a lower scene change threshold. This one was at 15%, I am now using 13%. Hopefully that helps with the scene transitions. It seems better to me but I'm not sensitive to scene changes, and can only discern so much. The first time I noticed was when pausing for screenshots at just the wrong time. |

| The source was 77gb. I purposefully lowered the file size as I cannot see any loss in quality over the source. On top of that, I haven't upgraded my storage capacity in a long time lol, so space is limited. As well there are many more movies that I plan on Ai-upscaling and Ai-enhancing in the future. |

| Indeed - scene transitions were the first thing I noticed. They just look odd somehow. Almost 'temporally bouncy' if that makes any sense. Since there are a lot of those, it's a lot to get past. Some other things were noticeably strange as well, like the pores in the skin of Luke's hand disappearing and reappearing during closeups on the Falcon. For me this does bring it into uncanny valley territory at times. Overall, though, there's a lot to like. And I say that as someone who is not a fan of high frame rates. |

The X wings wings flutter in and out of sight literally disappearing and reappearing with each frame and they shake up and down violently the entire time it's in frame on this shot. It's absolutely absurd for you to claim your improving these classics by destroying them In the way you do. I wouldn't expect anyone to like what's displayed here. |
