Have any of the reviewers dissing this movie actually watched it It has Kate Bosworth in it for crying out loud We thought this was darned good Quite a few twists and turns, even had a windsock called 'Peter' for comic relief, sure we have seen 'Peter' someplace before but more likely déjà vu The 'climate emergency' is only mentioned in passing Thanks |
Of course they haven't. They just recycle the same old never funny jokes about people's looks, cabins and whatnot. |
A film that contemplates the possibility of the seas rising hundreds if not thousands of feet in the next 40 years when the greatest experts on the subject estimate seas might rise to 15ft in the next 175 years. So a decent sea wall will stop the near extinction of humanity this predicts. At the same time communications technology has devolved back to the 1890's pretty much. Science fiction is as good as it is feasible and this is as unrealistic as it comes. I've watched it. Its absurd hysterical extremist woke scaremongering of the increasingly predictable kind (guess who the spy is too). The reality is what liberals consider 'enlightenment' has become tedious cliched drivel. Time they 'woke up' and smelt the coffee! If you want to laugh at the hysteria of handwringing liberal wokery, its worth a watch but otherwise its dreary stuff. |
That's the last outpost? A shack on stilt in the middle of the sea? How big is the inside of it? |
it might be as big as a garage that hasn't been cleaned in 10 years |
I enjoy banter and a friendly mocking here and there, but when it's only made anonymously I get a mixed feeling. |
So you get a mixed feeling about your own, then? Because being "CaptDesko" is every bit as anonymous as being "Guest-1234". |
It's way bigger than the ship, which it towers over. About 4x. |
#2652 It's not exactly the same, because after some time you build some kind of reputation and people start to expect some kind of opinion from you, etc. etc. (Like Reddit karma, or whatever) I have the impression that those that need to hide the most are actually moderators and stuff, are you? |
The 'stilt' is a military outpost built by the Brits in the English Channel during Word War II 'Sealand' is another 'stilt' in the sea Only Brits could come with these fascinating constructs |
#3789 Of course not, in any case I'm a repeating victim of stuff censorship, yet, I usually find a way to speak out my mind. You should try a bit of bravery as well it builds the character. |
