Chris Evans Don't see why Ana De Armas didn't just stick with James Bond |
"Woke" comes from "being awake". And that's what it means, no more, no less: being awake, being aware that racism still exists. Which is what these anti-woke dudes prove daily, non-intendedly, of course. It's a well-known far right strategy to appropriate terms in order to strip them from being powerful. They call anyone a leftist when they aren't as extreme right wing as they are. They call everyone antifa, even when there's no mention of fascism anywhere. They screamed that all lives matter, when blacks claimed that there lives mattered as much as anyone else's. They call anything woke that's not confirming their white privilege. |
It doesn't matter a lot where it came from. The left itself has widened its meaning so now it's an umbrella word (Wether you like it or not). Don't complain about the right wing, nobody there is creative enough to do that, it was "social warriors" (white kids online) who changed your loved word forever. |
nah there the racist woke ones you have to look at for taking something from another race and trying to make it something its not next there turn to nazi which will mean nice american zion individual just about as stupid and pathetic .. such lame attempts on making yourself seem like your something when your still a |
Unfortunately, no, it's not self-explanatory, unless you don't know what 'woke' means, which -undoubtedly- is *again* the case. |
simple it means its racists.the word woke has been used in both songs and as a rally cal sine the 1920's in regard to white racists the term stay woke ment to stay aware of the places they mentioned in there songs and in there protests.thats about it there is no other meaning to say so would be about as woke as it gets |
what's woke about this movie? that the cast isn't all-white? what a low fucking bar |
once again check the director as nobody seems interested in this vital part of movie making only who is smoking or not on screen. anyhow hey dexter, doing great, many strings to your bow these days.. |
So this is like a 2023 remake/reboot of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz Knight And Day with the roles reversed. When a small-town girl named June (Diaz) meets a mysterious stranger (Cruise), she thinks she's found the man of her dreams. But not only does she discover that he's a fugitive super-spy, she's thrust into a scary cat-and-mouse chase that spans the globe! Even the plot description for this 2023 releases uses the same 2 words "INTERNATIONAL ADVENTURE" found on Rotten Tomatoes Knight And Day page https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/knight_and_day June Havens (Cameron Diaz) chats up her charming seatmate on a flight out of Kansas, but she doesn't realize that she will soon land in the middle of an INTERNATIONAL ADVENTURE. The fellow passenger, Roy Miller (Tom Cruise), is a covert operative who claims he has been set up to take a fall. |
@jaxe thanks, was on the tip of my tongue the movie this reminded me of Knight And Day is a pretty good movie Well, anything with Tom Cruise in it is a pretty good movie So, this is a remake/reboot of a pretty good movie |
I just saw the movie, and what called my attention was a chase scene on a bus that unashamedly draws ideas from Indiana Jones (Both Raiders and Crusade) it all looks like seeing the choreography from a song you are familiar with, but over a different music. Haven't seen Knight and Day, maybe I'll check that next. |
Yep, we were sure that we have seen this movie before Some of it lked straight out of ' The Lone Ranger ' And talking about Knight and Day even the locations seemed familiar Going to check out that one out again |
At least Ana De Armas didn't have to run from a giant Easter egg |
