Also jazz specifically is an art form and open to artistic interpretation. The armed forces are a different matter entirely. If someone makes a comment on the nature of such, then they really should have an “informed opinion”, or expect to be challenged in healthy discourse. The nature of the armed forces can also be emotive for many. My parents both served, and have “health issues” due to that service. Passing ill-informed comment on such a topic can be expected to provoke a response that differs from commenting on jazz or paragliding. Once again, I won't comment any more on this subject here, but if you'd like to discuss it further please PM me and we can go into as much detail as you'd prefer. |
