Homicide Detective Ben Hays (Lou Ferrigno Jr.) has tried everything to cure his insomnia, but nothing works. To make matters worse, Ben and his partner, Detective Beckett (B.J. Britt), are hitting dead ends while investigating the murder of Randy Bell (Jason Patric). Ben reluctantly agrees to see psychiatrist Dr. Collins (Dina Meyer), who convinces him to try hypnotherapy. But as Ben's sessions continue, so do the murders, and he begins sleepwalking and having haunting nightmares that reveal disturbing parallels to the crimes. Ben struggles to explain himself to his wife, Lucy (Kenzie Dalton), and Beckett, who knows something is wrong with his troubled partner. Sleep-deprived and desperate for answers, Ben must race against the clock to discover the cause of his afflictions, the identity of the killer, and above all, his shocking connection to the victims.

| @jaxe no one is debating that Speed 2 is not great. But you said in your first review that JP's biggest role was in Speed 2. Have you seen Rush (the early 90's movie with Sam Elliot and Jennifer Jason Leigh, not to mention Gregg Allman)... not the more recent movie by the same name about the Hunt/Lauda racing rivalry (also widely considered as pretty good). You may not have enjoyed Rush or Sleepers (don't get me started on Sleepers... that cast was bad ass) but to say that they sucked or to say that Jason Patric did not have a leading role in either, it's simply not true. Your review was opinion-based and I disagree with that opinion. I've been here for years, but I think this was the first time I've really read the user reviews (or felt compelled to respond), but I am going to stand up for a guy who I feel made some great movies. |

 | Keanu Reeves turned down Speed 2 because of the script. He was smart. The script sucked and the final product on the screen showed it. |

Speaking of Jason Patrick, I think he should remove Speed 2 from his resume and put anything else instead.
Nothing to be proud of in the Speed 2 movie: you can't talk about speed on a boat that needs 5 Km for a U-turn.  |
