At first I thought 'Jeff' was like one of those expensive 'Transformer' toys This years must have toy for Christmas But then I noticed 'puppeteers' in the end credits So he was some sort of CGI I thought that when he put on the jacket that was so that they could use a real guy instead of the mechanical robot But then 'Jeff' took it off later on in the movie Liked the 'Trust No One' nod to the 'The X Files ' and the more obscure reference to the classic 1972 sci-fi flick 'Silent Running' starring Bruce Dern where one of the robots was called 'Dewey', the other one was called 'Huey' in case anyone was wondering 'Silent Running' is one of those movies that they show over and over again on the TV and you watch it again and again (like King Kong) and still get sad at the end (like King Kong) If I was still a kid with a big TV out in Papa's barn and they kept showing 'Finch' it is one of those movies that I would watch again and again Wow, another movie with ♫ 'American Pie' ♫ in it? How many is that now? You can never get enough ♫ 'American Pie' ♫ and I enjoyed listening to one-hit-wonder Don McClean's dulcet tones over the end credits I was worried about the fate of 'Goodyear' (played by Seamus) the dog at the end I mean, what powers Jeff? Will his battery run down? I thought he was injured at the end and couldn't get up Plus there didn't seem to be much dog food in the RV (Recreational Vehicle) Really worried that the dog will die of neglect or starvation But hey, it's only a movie I like 'Jeff' he was really endearing but it was a shame what happened to Dewey But hey, it's just a movie |
Story has good intention but reviews are not good. They say it's shallow and uneventful and boring. |
Good movie. Loved it Jeff was fantastic the little dog was cute (great backstory about how Finch came to possess Goodyear the dog) and Tom Hanks was his usual flawless self |
Came back after watching the movie, this is a great movie, well worth the 6.9 imdb score. Thanks, really enjoyed this, Tom Hanks is still a great actor. |
