 | a/v/m 8/7/5. tedious. this is a coulda shoulda woulda been really good but it just didn't gel. stories were ok (i gave up after 2) but nothing to write home about. the houdini character was annoying af. the only actor who did a really good job (the guy who played doyle was ok, just) was the woman who played the female scotland yardie. pretty clear, to me at least, why it didn't get past one season. my takeaway is that it shows just how good the similar-vein bbc productions really are. these can't hold a candle to the bbc productions - unless of course kenneth branaugh participates, which invariably puts them in the loo. |
