I like Aaron Eckhart, but those IMDB reviews… Not that I need IMDB to tell me what's good or not, but you can pick up on the indicators: All the genuine reviews are really bad. The fakes ones are hilariously obvious 9/10 or 10/10. When the filmmakers do this, it's usually a sign they know they've produced a stinker & are desperate to recoup costs. IMDB really needs to find a way to stop this deluge of fake reviews. How, I don't know. Maybe this is actually something AI could be genuinely useful for. It's tragic to watch the slow-motion implosion of Hollywood. When I think back to my teens, I took for granted the phenomenal rate at which blockbusters were pumped out, and most were at least watchable. It still produces something decent once in a while, but its a wretched shadow of the hit-making machine it once was. |
Wow! I did noticed that too! All the 9/10, 10/10 are from accounts made in October 2024 with only one rating (this movie)! The same was with the last season 4 of True Detective. All the 9/10, 10/10 were bots. |
IMDB used to have forums which were great for getting the truth on films, especially the big studio stinkers. But then in an act of total capitulation, the site shut the forums down, and now we have the sh*tshow you describe today. For me, it was a watershed moment in the destructive corporatization of the internet. |
Hollywood is ill. They are laid up in a hospital bed on O2 and a D5W drip but it won't last forever. The woke cancer is tough to treat but eventually starving the fever of money and fame will see it cured and we can get back to real entertainment minus any Message®. |
Netflix has basically rekt the production quality of movies and shows. Netflix business model is to mass produce low cost content for their streaming platform. Ones that review well will get next season or part 2. To compete with netflix, other streaming platforms have to do the same which results in all this garbage. |
I remember a day when imbd could be trusted it was the last frontier of good reviews. |
should've been called "Aaron Eckhart: Help Wanted - Will Act For Food" |
Whats happened to Tim Roths career. Ive always loved his work but hes been in some proper crap stuff lately. |
MDB Who needs IMDB A quick flick through the comments on here is enough to tell you if a movie is worth watching or not |
The movie is baaaaad, real bad, the script is bad, the argument, the soundtrack, there isn't a single thing that is good but the end |
when he started burning items in the Hotel room with no sprinklers going berserk and the MI6 agent with a New York accent well that was enough no mas no mas |
for me it was the totally unnecessary somersault before taking down the guy with a gun who just stopped and let him somersault |
Meanwhile, he's still getting paid whether he actually kills any target or not ? Same pay? A bit confused on this |
3.9 rating on the not so trust IMDB my word Roths' career has bottomed out |
Thank God he wasn't retired. Usually the retirees are the ones getting new jobs. |
Abigail Breslin privately looks like ummmm ummmm like a Skid Row inhabitant. Whatta Karen... and she's proud of it... |
