 | This movie is underrated at 6.6 on IMDb, for me this should be in the high 7's. I've watched it at least 5 times since it's release. This is 4 GiBs of pure gold, the sub needs work, saw triple lines. But the video/audio quality appears excellent. Michael Douglas, Andy Garcia and Ken Takakura are simply amazing. The chemistry between them is movie magic. FYI\Trivia: Yûsaku Matsuda's last film role. Matsuda knew he had bladder cancer and that his condition would be aggravated by acting in the movie. He elected to do so anyway, unbeknownst to director Sir Ridley Scott, reportedly saying, "This way, I will live forever." On November 6, 1989, less than seven weeks after the film's American premiere, Matsudo died of his bladder cancer at the age of 40. The film is dedicated to his memory. | FYI: The two forced subs on "opensubtitles" are pretty close to being about the same. But they not complete, you will first notice this in the restaurant scenes @ 13 minutes in. The forced subs don't play in until 1 hr 21 mins in, which works for me. I'm good with it. |

| I have this on different releases of DVD and BluRay plus rips I got online from torrents. To this day I still have not come across a copy where EVERY JAPANESE DIALOGUE is translated with English subtitles or the Japanese dialogue lines that do have English subtitles have the correct English translation. Believe me when I say I have downloaded every English subtitle file for this movie from Subscene before they went defunct and from Open Subtitles and painstakingly applied each subtitle file, one at a time, to every copy of this movie that I own. None of them work 100% correctly. |
